First, let's get the soon-to-be obvious out of the way. This mount is stiff. And, I mean really stiff. In the perfect world, there would be hydraulic pistons that allowed you easily to maneuver this unit with one finger. And, in that same perfect world, you wouldn't be paying any extra for that convenience. But, the world isn't perfect and a mount like that will set you back closer to $1000. I know ... because I own one. Now, that being said, there are three swivel points with this mount - each with their own unique level of stiffness. The first axis point is where the first-stage arm attaches to the actual mounting bracket on the wall. Very stiff. Very. It will take a lot of force to extend it out and push it back in again - flush with the wall. If that's your intention after each use, be prepared. The second swivel point is the axis where the first-stage arm meets the second-stage arm. This is much less stiff ... yet still take a little effort to maneuver. The third swivel point is where the second-stage arm meets the mounting bracket attached to the tv. This is the perfect stiffness. Not difficult to swivel at all.You can see each arm I described in the picture on the box.So, what this all means is extending the tv out from the wall (ie the first and second stage arms) and maneuvering it outward in the general direction that you want, is a bit of a chore ... so, hopefully, like me, it's not something you need to do regularly.Remember, the first and second stage arms are really what give it the distance from the wall. I extended these arms out and pretty much leave them in their position.Once it's set, however, the tv can easily be swiveled 180 degrees - left and right.Alright, explaining that was exhausting.Moving on.The mount is solid ... and heavy. Can it be installed by one person? That depends. Who are you? Do you even lift? You'll know if you're up for the weight when you receive the box. Don't be a hero. Ask for help if you need itI didn't, but I'm strong-like-bull.Plus, I'm smart and I used the paper template to line up the holes with my studs before I drilled.A small leveling device is also included with your purchase to help make sure the template is straight or, in other words, ahem ... on-the-level.Sorry.Once The holes were in I put the bolts through the mount, lifted the mount and aligned the bolts with the holes. I then slid the bolts into the holes. In retrospect, actually, maybe get someone to help. Doable for one person with superior strength and circus-level balancing skills like mine but, not for mere mortals. If you're the strong one, you do the lifting. Your circus assistant can then help line up the bolts with the holes and push them in toward the stud. And, speaking of studs, make sure yours are solid. There's plenty of wide slots on the mount itself so it can be center-adjusted while on your wall - or placed off-center if you prefer - just be sure that whatever you're hanging the mount from is secure.Unfortunately, I only have 1 steel stud that runs down the center of my not-so-wide wall ... so, I had to do some serious reinforcing. I can now confirm, however, that I feel confident I could actually hang from the mount myself. Now, I'm sure this has all been very enlightening but, what you really want to know is: will you need to enroll in a trades school to actually learn how to assemble this modern miracle of mechanics. And, the answer is ...... no, this mount is EXTREMELY easy to install. In fact, it is shipped in one peice so, there's no messing around trying to figure out what goes where. There's the mount that gets attached to the wall and there are 2 vertical hanging brackets that get attached to your tv.Don't be intimidated by the multitude of screws, bolts and washers that are included. Most aren't necessary. Use only what you need for the size and brand of your tv. They are separated by size and each plastic pocket is labelled and correlates with what's in the instructions ... if you even need instructions. I didn't ... but, hey, it's not a competition.1. Take the one-piece mount and attach it to the wall using the included bolts.2. Take the 2 vertical hanging brackets and attach them to the tv using the included bolts and washers.3. Lift tv and hang from mount. Secure in place.Done.Delivery said a week ... the mount arrived in 2 days.I wrote a lot here and, in retrospect, it kind of burns me that I'm not being compensated by the company to, essentially, promote their product. But, in the end, that's not really why I'm doing it.If, like me, you're generally hands-on and cautious about purchasing something online - sight-unseen - then you just want to feel as confident as possible before you decide.Like you, I read the reviews (though, none as thorough as this), I took the gamble and, fortunately, it paid off.By sharing my experience, I'm just doing my part in paying it forward.Enjoy.

This TV mount is massive and heavy duty compared to my old one. I am able to turn my 50" tv completely sideways and still have clearance to use a larger TV even inside of a cabinet. This mount alone is heavier than my TV. Makes my old mount feel like a feather. Works perfectly and so easy to use and adjust and stays where you pit it and doest slide around at all.

Very happy with this. It's simple and kinda basic but it's solid and easy to use. The TV stays where you put it and it doesn't bounce or wobble even at full extension. Folds fairly flat to the wall. Was very easy to level and position the TV. Took me all of maybe 15 mins from opening the box to having the TV on the wall and watching the game.

I didn't have any problems mounting it to the wall but the unit is somewhat heavy and can be awkward with one person. I didn't try to remove the support arm from the frame so I dunno if that's possible, might make it a little easier to mount the support plate to the wall.

Support plate has a big opening which is handy for running cabling through the wall. Big enough that I can mount a pass-through wallplate and hide the cables. Wish it had better cable management but the included straps are handy. For the price I'm not complaining. Great product.

Easy to install and is perfect for my 60 inch smart TV
Has a very good range for motion

While this mount was more expensive than many others on the market, it's worth every penny. The mount itself is heavy, you may need two people to help lift/hold while you screw in the lug nuts.

The mount has excellent construction, and the motion and range is so good. It's smooth. Install was simple, and came with a template so you can easily line up the template to your stud positions.

Comes with a small leveling tool, all the nuts and bots you need, and instructions are super clear. Once the mount was attached to the wall (on two studs, do not put this only on dry wall), mounting the TV literally took a few minutes. Attach the brackets to back of TV (includes many different bolt sizes), then just hang it on the mount.

The mount allows further leveling adjusting, and it's easy to tilt the TV.

If you're looking for a really nice full motion mount that can extend out, in all directions, this is it!

We needed to be able to swing our older heavy 54 inch TV quite a distance & angle it so we could move our couch to a better spot, and this long-arm TV mount really does the job. So sturdy, easy to install and to mount the TV, and this bad boy swings out to one side, 40 inches. It swings on one lateral direction, not two, so we flipped it to make sure it was going the right way (truth be told, we installed it the "wrong" way first, proving a 50-50 chance of doing anything right is not great odds :) This mount arm is much cheaper than similar ones we saw online, so were nervous it would be flimsy, but wow-- it's a beast! Highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars WORKS GREAT!

Item came just as described. Nice and heavy duty! Came with several different sizes of screws and spacers. The mount was easy to hang and with lots of cutouts so that I could line up the mount perfectly onto the studs. Also had a paper layout that match’s the base so you could lay out where you want it and predrill your holes for the lag screws. To work for my application I flipped over the head where the tv actually mounts so that the swing arm was on the right side and the mount would still tilt in a downward direction. This was accomplished by removing 1 bolt and flipping it and reinstalling the bolt. Very easy. The other thing I like about it and one of the main reasons i bought this model was because it has a very long reach which will allow me or other users to “get it around obstacles”. As you can see in my pics it had to pull out enough to get around the cabinets for ones on the right side of the room to see. This model easily does that with length to spare!! The mounting bars also have several spaces so that you can find the perfect fit for most TVs. This one had 4 different spots that would allow my tv to mount. The way i chose let some of the bracket hang below the tv which will allow me to mount a board and attach a sound bar to it as well (this may not work for all tvs) however if you didn’t want to see the mounting bars they would have allowed me to mount them flush i just chose not to. Over all this mount is great! Seems to be very sturdy and should last for a long time. Very versatile and has so many mounting holes, tons of tvs should fit. My tv is a LG OLED 65’ C series so if you have one, this mount will work perfect! Only thing I would say and it’s not negative, is that it’s heavy and you will probably want some help holding it up as you lag screw it to the wall. Once hung, your good to go!!

5.0 out of 5 stars It’s Real Full Motion

We installed on exterior patio wall and it’s very sturdy but operates quite smoothly. I can turn the TV 180 degrees so we can watch TV from anywhere on our patio or in the pool or spa. I have another full motion mount made by another brand and it’s kind of confusing to operate. This one is quite simple and have absolutely full range of motion.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Extendable TV Wall Mount! Good Price

I needed an extendable wall mount for my outside TV. It needed to extended at least three feet and be strong enough to support a 65 lb TV. After reading the specifications and reviews I settled on this mount. I’m glad I did!

Easy to install and VERY strong. It easily supports the TV and extends over 40 inches. I was concerned that it would be “flimsy” when fully extended. Not at all. This thing is robust and strong no mater what position you need it in. And it holds its places position. No wandering. I cannot recommend this extendable wall mount enough! It’s very well made and reasonably priced AND arrived when promised.
