Had to pick this up for a short notice anniversary to plug into a giant speaker for speeches etc after no one told me that one was needed so I didn't fly across the country with my XLR mic. It sounds fine but it is rather quiet in comparison to a proper xlr mic. It works in my computer but again is rather quiet and need to crank the gain all the way up adding noise to the signal. If you need it for a giant speaker or something it's fine for the price, nothing special nothing terrible.

I bought this to replace the one my sons karaoke machine came with. However it didnt work. And I have no way of knowing if uts the microphone or the karaoke machine that's the problem. It seems well built. The cord is nice and long and it comes with an adapter for the plug in end. I'm just disappointed it didnt work out for us. That and I missed the deadline for returns so I'm stuck with it.

A durable though antiquated item for those who like a the wired world of reliability and to live the retro days of old. The 13 foot cable is very handy. It works well when the sound is directed about an inch directly into the microphone to avoid ambient sounds as in times gone. A fair price for old technology.

The media could not be loaded.
 This microphone has a very flat frequency response, +/- 3db from about 85 Hz to above 10 kHz. I didn't find any distortion or undue emphasis throughout the vocal range. Very directional, as you can hear in the video (be sure to use good headphones to hear the effect!). It is shiny, and solid. Metal all the way around, and treated on the body of the microphone to resist corrosion from hand oils, etc. Looks good and feels good! The magnetic switch is a nice touch. Silent switching between OFF and ON. It comes with a wind screen to cut out wind or strong breathing from interfering with the sound pickup. The low-noise, detachable cable has a very generous 16' length. The 1/4" phone plug even has a gold-plated tip to ensure a good signal connection. Why wouldn't you buy this?
