Good speed. Good screen. Good sound. Compared to my iPhone 8 (and all phones and tablets I have had), the photos are really bluish. Very strange. Have to use manual white balance to correct this. It’s obviously not a North American model. The «Read Me» booklet is in English, French, Arabic, Russian, Azerbaijani, Serbian, Ukrainian, Kazakhh, etc. The charger’s plug is type G (UK, I think) and did not come with a type A ou B US/Canada adapter. Also: runs fairly hot. Status bar is not centered in landscape mode (see photos).

I'm using this phone because it is a dual sim phone and also takes an SD card at the same time. Everything works very well and is quite fast using android 14. If you travel frequently, having a dual sim phone is very useful. A decent camera and sound and picture quality is fine for the price. It's not too heavy as well.

What I got was the UK model based on the fact the charger is clearly UK and cannot possibly fit a Canadian outlet, XT2331-3 and it works fine on Telus up to 4G. On entering setup I was surprised to se the language was defaulted to US English.
Setup was pretty straight forward in spite of the fact I had no Andriod 13 knowledge and find it quite different from earlier versions.
Has a ton of storage and seems to run pretty well for basic calling and simple games and a youtube video and an MP4 movie.
It even came enclosed in a basic case and the screen is Panda Glass so less to worry about breaking.
Worst thing: it’s BIG!
revised 5/1/2024: I forgot to mention that contrary to all the information I have seen, including the written manual included with the phone, there is no second speaker. The manual picture shows it on the top of the phone, but my phone is solid plastic on the top. Not a problem!

I'm impressed with this device for the price I paid for it. I had initially thought I would receive the XT2331-3 as the model number PAWV0016SE shown on the page represents. That model only supports LTE B2,B5,B7 while lacking B4/B66 which are the most common LTE bands in Canada. I received the Latin American XT2331-1 instead which supports most of the Canadian LTE bands; works fine with Telus and Public Mobile out of the box. Comes with the right charger and cable, a simple case, a manual in another language, and no headphones. Setting the device up in English can be done at the first screen after first boot but the updates are still listed in another language.

The biometric sensor on the screen lock button is a nice touch, but it's unreliable. Adding 4-5 additional fingerprints seems to increase reliability, but it still falls short. Using a thick case can make it a little more difficult to scan correctly.

NFC is NOT available on this device. The camera is decent, and it has good options in the app but I use Open Camera. Supports two SIMs, and an SD-CARD up to 512GB on the same tray, and has a headphone jack. Unfortunately, it does not appear to work with all analog headsets. I have a Hyper X Cloud II headset that has a 3.5mm connector with mic and audio which used to work with my old phone, this one simply will not acknowledge it. Battery tends to last quite a while compared to my old One Vision though which is a fair tradeoff.

In terms of updates, make sure you go to Settings > System Updates and install all the updates individually. At the time I'm posting this review, the device is running Android 13. However, Motorola has stated the G13 will get Android 14 in the future; one of the last major updates to the device likely.

If you're in the market for a budget phone with a good feature set, this phone may fit perfectly.
