Not possible to operate two heads at the same
Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2024Verified Purchase
Individually, these heads work very well even though they are limited to one movement at the time (either pan or tilt but not both at the same time). I bought two and ended up returning them since it was not possible to operate them at the same time without interfering with each other even when using different channels. During a live event it will be very risky for camera operators to take turns to move the heads.

What a buy!
Reviewed in the United States on February 3, 2023Verified Purchase
I am impressed with this product. I looked at various similar motorized devices and nothing seemed to compare. I chose the Soonpho, and I am glad I did. It seems well-constructed, durable and it works well. I tried it with my cell phone and have yet to use it with my DSLR or other cameras, but it did extremely well in everything I tried. I highly recommend this motorized panoramic head. I carefully check others' comments before buying and am rarely disappointed with my purchase. UPDATE: I used the Soonpho with my Canon DSLR, and I have no complaints. It worked smoothly with no jitter. With a heavier lens, it might be a good idea to find the balance point, but I have no way to really test this.

Under powered, under constructed
Reviewed in the United States on April 15, 2023Verified Purchase
For a light weight camera it's fine. Quite, fairly quick though not fast. Near it's one pound limit it's lacking. The back lash in the gears gets obvious as does it's under powering. It's all plastic and I doubt it would survive rough handling. I suspect the gears are also plastic.
It works well enough for half of what I needed it for. I would not buy it again.

Didn’t last 6 months

I bought 2 of these in February and they don’t work. 1 of them doesn’t work without being plugged in all the time and the other one moves side to side but not up and down. I don’t have heavy cameras, I use Panasonic LUMIX which is a pretty compact and light camera. They were awesome when they worked.

Wireless pan and tilt
Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2024Verified Purchase
This wireless pan and tilt
camera turret works for my intended use. I've mounted my hand held thermal to it and then mounted that onto a magnet mount. This let's me sit in the comfort of my vehicle while being able to look around outside. I just stick it to the roof and use my phone as the display piece for the thermal since it has wifi connection and of course the turret has a remote itself. My camera's frame rate keeps up with the turrets fastest motion but you can slow this down really slow. I just leave it set at it's fast pace. It's too slow for me otherwise. The lit display that indicates the set speed is very bright so I cover it with electrical tape when using it at night. It does not appear to be weather resistant so I don't leave it out in the elements for long periods. I'm sure rain would might do it in. I suppose I could rig a baggy around it if needed.
