I love Moroccanoil so I couldn't resist this new treatment purple hair oil that's ideal for my mom's grey hair.It's a small 25ml bottle(no pump included) that's pricey but a little bit does go a long way and i'm confident about the brand and quality. It has that very familiar and intriguing Moroccanoil aroma with a beautiful violet pigment. It's specifically formulated(alcohol free) to correct unwanted brassiness in hair(for blonde, lightened or grey hair) over time, add depth, dimension, smooth frizz,  boost shine and protect against thermal damage. Rest assured it's been tested and won't stain your hands, pillowcases, clothes, etc. but it's still recommended you use pigmented products with caution around materials that stain/discolour easily. To achieve optimal results you'll have to consistently use throughout the week to allow for an accumulation of pigments over time.Overall it's another great quality product by Moroccanoil but size wise it could be bigger.  Nonetheless my mom's happy with her beautiful soft/smooth, frizz-free and radiant looking hair ❤👍

First of all, in terms of immediate impressions this definitely gives off an air of quality. The bottle is made of glass instead of plastic, which makes it feel hefty in your hand. The strange cut of the glass with its angular edges are an interesting design choice that make it stand out. I think it looks pretty good and you can tell it's made for a higher price range.

As for the functionality, I found it quite effective at brightening up blonde hair while also softening it and reducing frizz. It's a small bottle, but you only have to use a bit each time, so it should last quite a while. The oils don't feel greasy after applying them which is nice. They just make your hair feel soft and smooth.

My only complaint is the added chemical scent, which is probably pleasant for most people but not for me. I wish they didn't feel the need to add different scents to every cosmetic product you use for your face and hair. It also persists for a long time. If I apply it in the morning, I can still smell it on me that evening. An unscented version would be a nice option to have.

I have earned my grey hair and unfortunately this product wouldn’t do much for me. But, when the going gets tough, the tough find someone else to get the job done. Happily I have my neighbor here to help. Grateful I am.
"As a woman whose mother owns a barber shop, I was excited to review this product. I have used many oils for my hair , but never a “purple treatment” one. My current hair color is a golden, auburn blonde bordering on “very brassy.” My initial thought was that it has a very strong smell, a lot more obvious than other oils. It conditioned my hair to be very soft and silky looking . I have used this product 4-5 times since and have noticed my hair is clearly not as brassy looking. I recommend this oil if you’re looking for a subtle, gradual change."

This hair oil feels luxurious and has a pleasant scent. While it's not going to change your tone like a highly pigmented purple shampoo, it's nice knowing that it is subtly combatting brassiness or at least not contributing to the yellowing of my blonde. I do notice an improvement to the frizz I have after blowdrying.

The only downside is the style of bottle - as some other reviews noted, it's just an open top which makes it a little awkward to dispense and feels more likely to result in too much product coming out. A dropper or pump would be a big improvement.

I have used moroccanoil for years, but I have never tried the purple oil. I don't find there to be a huge difference between the original moroccanoil and the blonde one, but they both work incredibly. It's perfect for using after a shower, or before going out for shiny and frizz-free hair.

You don't have to be a blonde to use this. I have always used a purple shampoo and conditioner or treatment because I have neutral brown hair leaning on the side of ashy but sometimes it warms up too much depending on the dye that I use. If I get a hair dye that is for brown hair and it doesn't specify if it's for ash brown or neutral or warm, it is hit or a miss. Since my skin is cool toned I would prefer my hair to be ashy or at least neutral. So sometimes I have to tone down the warmth.

I always found that using a blue or a purple product help me a lot when it came to neutralizing and toning. I have been using it and since I have a bit of reddish color in my hair. I just dyed with a brown and it was warm and matched the underlying red so this is be really useful for toning down the brassiness as I continue to use it.

It also smells great like the original Moroccanoil treatment I have used for about 10+ years. I absolutely adore that stuff and have NO split ends since I started using it. I wish they made a perfume with this scent. I use it as a heat protector, as well. It is a dry oil so it never feels greasy, even if I use too much.

It goes on very sheer as it is meant for blondes so it wouldn't be easily seen, but I do think it has helped so far. I have taken pictures to check and I can really see a big difference but not sure if it is the lighting, but at least there is a difference, regardless. No transfer noticed on clothes or pillows.

Pricey buy you don't need a lot. I have a blonde adult son who lives away who loves hair oil, (both my boys do, but my Moroccanoil was off limits!) lol. My son has thick rough, blonde hair and his hair turns brassy so I am going to get him to buy this or buy a bottle for him.

Great for long, fine, blond (aka fragile) hair! Didn’t weigh it down and not greasy all day long! I used three Moroccan products: After shampooing and using a bond repair (K18), I then applied this Moroccan leave in conditioner to my damp hair, combed through, then applied both the Moroccan Hydrating styling cream and the Moroccan Oil Treatment (for blonds). These last two I mixed together in my hands the way it said to do online. Then blow dried my hair. My hair is soft, shiny, smooth, and manageable. Two thumbs up. I can even apply the styling cream while my hair is dry (to refresh the style) and it is NOT heavy or greasy!! Frizz diminished. Looks fuller. The fragrance (of all three is the same) is alluring, definitely memorable, and it also dissipates quickly. It’s not strong nor lingering. The oil can be used alone. The purple color of the oil disappears right away and it was as “light” and weightless on my hair as the Moroccan Oil “Light” was. Not greasy. Not heavy. Highly recommend all three products.

Always struggled with a brass shade after couple of weeks. I’m guessing due to a hard water, hair care products etc. Purple shampoo is good, but damaging hair even more and hair starts to look like a mop. And now such a relief, purple hair oil.
