I love Moroccanoil so I couldn't resist this new treatment purple hair oil that's ideal for my mom's grey hair.It's a small 25ml bottle(no pump included) that's pricey but a little bit does go a long way and i'm confident about the brand and quality. It has that very familiar and intriguing Moroccanoil aroma with a beautiful violet pigment. It's specifically formulated(alcohol free) to correct unwanted brassiness in hair(for blonde, lightened or grey hair) over time, add depth, dimension, smooth frizz,  boost shine and protect against thermal damage. Rest assured it's been tested and won't stain your hands, pillowcases, clothes, etc. but it's still recommended you use pigmented products with caution around materials that stain/discolour easily. To achieve optimal results you'll have to consistently use throughout the week to allow for an accumulation of pigments over time.Overall it's another great quality product by Moroccanoil but size wise it could be bigger.  Nonetheless my mom's happy with her beautiful soft/smooth, frizz-free and radiant looking hair ❤👍

First of all, in terms of immediate impressions this definitely gives off an air of quality. The bottle is made of glass instead of plastic, which makes it feel hefty in your hand. The strange cut of the glass with its angular edges are an interesting design choice that make it stand out. I think it looks pretty good and you can tell it's made for a higher price range.

As for the functionality, I found it quite effective at brightening up blonde hair while also softening it and reducing frizz. It's a small bottle, but you only have to use a bit each time, so it should last quite a while. The oils don't feel greasy after applying them which is nice. They just make your hair feel soft and smooth.

My only complaint is the added chemical scent, which is probably pleasant for most people but not for me. I wish they didn't feel the need to add different scents to every cosmetic product you use for your face and hair. It also persists for a long time. If I apply it in the morning, I can still smell it on me that evening. An unscented version would be a nice option to have.

I use purple shampoo and conditioner regularly, so I was surprised by several things with this immediately. I ordered the 25ml, which is obviously tiny, but does not have a dropper or pump spout, it's just a wide open bottle which makes dispensing a small amount very difficult. When dispensed though, it is purple tinged, but entirely transparent, which is unusual for a purple product. No hint of purple is left on your hands, which is good for cleanup, but it does mean that the amount in your hair is very, very, minimal. As a hair oil though, this is top notch. It is Argon oil scented, similar to all other Moroccanoil products, which is a subtle, unobtrusive scent and it is very lightweight and easy to apply. I isolated one strand to see if there was any difference, because I didn't notice much when I used it all over, and you can definitely see where the product is applied if you do that. Light does definitely hit differently and the hair looks smooth and shiny, but not in a greasy way. I'm not sure if the purple offers much by way of removing brassiness, but it does improve the look of my hair for sure.

I have used moroccanoil for years, but I have never tried the purple oil. I don't find there to be a huge difference between the original moroccanoil and the blonde one, but they both work incredibly. It's perfect for using after a shower, or before going out for shiny and frizz-free hair.

Great for long, fine, blond (aka fragile) hair! Didn’t weigh it down and not greasy all day long! I used three Moroccan products: After shampooing and using a bond repair (K18), I then applied this Moroccan leave in conditioner to my damp hair, combed through, then applied both the Moroccan Hydrating styling cream and the Moroccan Oil Treatment (for blonds). These last two I mixed together in my hands the way it said to do online. Then blow dried my hair. My hair is soft, shiny, smooth, and manageable. Two thumbs up. I can even apply the styling cream while my hair is dry (to refresh the style) and it is NOT heavy or greasy!! Frizz diminished. Looks fuller. The fragrance (of all three is the same) is alluring, definitely memorable, and it also dissipates quickly. It’s not strong nor lingering. The oil can be used alone. The purple color of the oil disappears right away and it was as “light” and weightless on my hair as the Moroccan Oil “Light” was. Not greasy. Not heavy. Highly recommend all three products.

Always struggled with a brass shade after couple of weeks. I’m guessing due to a hard water, hair care products etc. Purple shampoo is good, but damaging hair even more and hair starts to look like a mop. And now such a relief, purple hair oil.
