The instructions said a long press on the MODE BUTTON changes from photo to video to playback modes. This is INCORRECT! A long press on the MENU BUTTON changes from photo to video to playback, and the MODE and ZOOM BUTTONS are used during the long press MENU mode to make changes and adjustments to photos and videos. Otherwise, for the price, it is a great little device. But it needs a tripod for better videos and, sadly, there is no audio recording features.

Took a chance on this budget friendly night vision monocle, and I've got one thing to say above all else.......

This little monocle is awesome!! 5x zoom, and great in pitch dark. Went out and tested it the night it came.
Get some good batteries and you won't be dissapointed!
Comes with 32 GB microSD card to record your night (or day!) Findings.
It's lightweight, but doesn't feel like it's going to break or anything, and feels good in your hand with the included hand strap.
If your on the fence about getting this, don't be! Can't go wrong!
Also seller has excellent communication if you have questions and responds quickly.

The night vision camera is cheap, and the images are too fuzzy to be of much usefulness. It has a good zoom and will see basic images in low light. Manual focusing is also tricky. I wish I had returned it in the window Amazon allows - but now I am stuck with it. It is OK if you want a very basic night vision - but not if you want some detail...

I am using this as a base for a project so I didn't get a whole lot of experience with it in it's original form but I have a few observations:

The design seems to be quite new, it has USBC charging and the PCB revision for the mainboard is dated October of this year.

The construction is fairly decent, all the components seem to be decent quality and it's put together well. The IR illuminator is a COB with a proper lens, not just a load of THT LEDs in a ring like most cheap NVG monoculaers have.

The sensor is decent quality, as is the screen.

I have one gripe and one suggestion:
- I don't understand why there is an option to record in 4k in the menu when the sensor itself is 1080P
- I would like to see a version with a 1X lens and a lens over the LCD display (to allow the image to be focused on from closer to your eye), allowing it to be used on helmets, and as an actual navigation aid in the dark instead of just a spotting device.
