After too many years to count (okay, 26) with Comcast cable (TV and internet), I decided to make the switch to AT&T Fiber, Roku and DirecTV. The problem I ran into was my kitchen 15" Sony was only equipped with a coaxial input for cable; it did not have an HDMI input. The RF Modulator HDMI Coaxial Converter allowed me to connect an HDMI streaming device (Roku and/or DirecTV among others). The setup was a breeze and there was no loss in the quality of the reception. I am quite satisfied with the RF Modulator HDMI Coaxial Converter and imagine it would be quite useful to "upgrade" any TV with coaxial cable input to accept an HDMI device. For less than $40, I no longer had an "obsolete" TV. Well worth the price.

Worked, although a bit expensive. The cheaper other versions for around $10, didn't work. You'll need this to convert the newer HDMI feed back to coaxial or rca plugs for older devices. Keep in mind, you'll need to power it, and it comes with the attachment. We used the usb into the cable box.

Used This RF Mod to get coax connection to an old tv. Since cable service here is all digital (as is the case most places), can no longer just run the coax cable into the tv. Must use the service provider's cable box. Newer cable boxes only have a coax-in port, but no coax-out port. So after connecting to the coax-in, then ran an HDMI cable from the box to the RF Mod. Then used the coax-out port on the RF Mod to the coax port on the tv. The RF Mod works as designed - highly recommend.
