Tips BEFORE purchase:
Make sure you get one that covers more than your intended travel. For example, travelling for 6 days? Get the 8 day card because, from my previous year experience, I got one for the exact amount of days and I lost connection my very last day - company considers the day before you travel (activation day) as one of the days....I ended up paying an extra $80 USD to have it reactivated for 1 day (stupid decision on my part - should have just delt with my Canadian ph service provider for extra charges for 1 day as I'm sure it would have been cheaper..I was just stressed and couldn't think straight - I don't travel much and I was traveling alone with my kids).
Tips AFTER purchase:
Start set up as soon as you get the card and DON'T wait until last minute. There is a quick process to set up but you need T-Mobile to email you back to give you the go ahead that activation is set up for travel dates you selected. 2-3 days notice should be ok but earlier better.
Also be careful when you switch the SIM cards in country of travel as I lost my Canadian sim card in the busy LA Airport when switching out to the US sim card...lol I called my ph provider Immediately and they deactivated it and I got a new Canadian sim card when I got back home.
Definitely will be purchasing these cards again when I travel to US.
