The clamp itself is very sturdy and has never once slipped or fallen off my phone. The stair-step style rubber grips make it so you can adjust the height of the clamp to the back of your phone. This is necessary so you can customize it based off of the size of your phones camera bump. The lens positioner is a bit stiff but I'd much rather have that than to have it be loose and move when you don't want it to.
Using the microscope lens itself is aided greatly by the ring light as you almost always need it. Due to how close you are when taking these pictures the focal plane is very short and this makes taking pictures of non-flat things difficult because you can't get it all in focus. There's also some distortion and miscoloration around the edges. On top of that there's also vignetting due to the lens not being as big as most phones camera sensors. With all these things combined it can be somewhat frustrating if you're used to a simple point and click style picture. However, if you know what to expect and know how to work with it you can get some very amazing shots like the ones I have attached.
Due to the versatility of the mount as well as the quality of the microscope lens I highly recommend this to anyone looking to photograph a microscopic world.
