Great shampoo, mine was thick like gel and foamed up enough, then felt like it absorbed into my hair as there felt like there wasn't much to rinse out after. Overall I really like it, but the price for how much you get is expensive. Best suited for guys with really short haircuts.

I have been using Selsun Blue for over a year now to prevent dry scalp. I was excited to come across Rocky Mountain Barber Company's Forest Mint shampoo. The title mentioned "Prevents Dry Itchy Scalp – Paraben, SLS & DEA Free" meaning it would be much better for my hair than Selsun Blue as well as it had exceptional reviews.

After using the shampoo for about 2 weeks I can say it does not help help my with dry scalp like Selsun Blue did. The bottle is very small and about half the size of other shampoo bottles in the same price range. I also find I have to use quite a bit of the shampoo to get the cooling effect of the mint. The shampoo would leave my scalp feeling fine right after a shower, but as the day goes on I could see my scalp getting dry. I am not sure if the company meant to for this shampoo to be paired with their conditioner to get the anti dry scalp effects, however considering how expensive these products are I am not willing to take a gamble and spend that kind of money on conditioner that may or may not work for me.

The shampoo is a thick gel like substance which makes it easy to work through your hair and it does clean my hair quite good.

Overall I would not recommend this shampoo. It did not help with my dry scalp like some other shampoos do and the product is expensive for what you get.

Edit: The company has a 100% satisfaction guaranteed policy if you send an email to the email address that comes in the package. This means there is literally no downside to buying this product because even if you don't like it you can get a full refund. Changed the review to 5 stars for this amazing customer service

It is a good shampoo and I enjoy using it, the minty tingles on your scalp is never NOT fun, however the cost is too high to really justify rebuying. You get an 8oz bottle, and if you have a really thick long head of hair like I do you have to use a fair bit more than normal, so it doesn't last long. I personally won't be rebuying it because of that fact, but if you've got short hair I would absolutely recommend trying it out, as you'd need to use way less than I do because it IS good product.
