Edit: this pump is amazing. I was able to double my milk supply and become an over supplier which I attribute to this pump. It’s been so great a month in!

Previously I purchased the momcozy S12. I wish I would have just got this one but the portable version. This is so much comfier and quieter. Also seeing larger output with this pump!

I purchased the Medela breast pump with high hopes, believing that it would make my breastfeeding journey more convenient and efficient. However, after just six weeks of use, it has left me extremely disappointed.

The pump worked flawlessly for the first few weeks, but then it suddenly stopped working. I tried troubleshooting the issue, thinking it might be a minor problem, but no luck. Frustrated and in need of a working pump, I decided to contact the seller, Medela Official Store, as the product should still be under warranty. That's where my dissatisfaction truly began.

I filled out a contact form as per their instructions and patiently waited for a response. Two weeks have passed, and I have yet to receive any communication from them. Despite their promise to contact me via email, I've been left in the dark. The lack of response from the seller is not only frustrating but also deeply inconvenient, as I rely on this pump for my baby's feeding.

In addition to the lack of email response, I have also tried calling the customer service line provided on their website, and to my dismay, there has been no response to my calls.

This experience has left me feeling let down, ignored, and utterly frustrated. I had high expectations for Medela's quality and customer service, but my experience so far has not met those expectations. I believe that when a product malfunctions within its warranty period, customers should receive prompt assistance and a solution to their issue. Unfortunately, this has not been the case for me.

I hope that Medela Official Store will take this review as an opportunity to rectify the situation and provide the support and service I initially expected when I made this purchase. I urge potential buyers to consider their after-sales service before investing in Medela products, as my experience has been far from satisfactory.

In conclusion, I am incredibly dissatisfied with my Medela breast pump, not only due to its early malfunction but also because of the lack of responsiveness and assistance from the seller, including both email communication and phone calls to their customer service line. I hope that my situation can be resolved promptly, but as of now, I cannot recommend this product or the seller's customer service.

I was worried I'd have to try a bunch of pumps to get the right one but this one hit the nail on the head. It comes with a battery pack, additional hands free pumping cups, different pumping modes and a long charging cord. Plus you get a bag to carry it all and an additional bag with an ice pack and bottles for your milk when you are on the go. Cleaning is easy and not complicated to assemble.

This is my second medela pump as my first one (an older model freestyle) died on me. There are certain pros and cons to this model.

Pros:
- better suction. I personally respond better to this suction and it's more efficient for me to pump.
- quieter motor
- the "hands free" battery pack takes double a batteries, thus eliminating the need for a medela battery.

Cons:
- it's quite big, making it a bit difficult to move around.
- because it's so bag, the battery pack does not last long at all. If you're going to want to use the battery pack, invest in rechargeable batteries
- there is no bloody timer on this thing. If I don't set a timer, I have no idea how long I've been pumping for.
- the hands free battery pack also doesn't tell you when the batteries are low. The pump will often shut off mid-pump, which is very annoying

Buy again. However I didn’t find the pump to be very portable. Not so comfortable. But can’t imagine which ones are. I think the ones that fit In the bra are probably better. Although these can they stuck out at the bottom and it isn’t very comfortable

So, I ordered this 1/17/23, and I used it as my basement pump for when I was on the desktop. I have a newborn, so it is safe to say I was not on the desktop every night. This wasn't my main pump, but after less than 4 months of it existing in my home and maybe a month worth of washing, the pump cups broke. These cups are made of hard plastic, and one cup broke at the part where it locks into the flange. For the price, I would have expected more. Medela is a popular brand and the brand that I used at the hospital, I love my hand pump by them, but this product missed its mark. I find there is no variability with the suction pattern, and you have to cycle through increasing pressure with no identifier of which you are on. My main pump is a Spectre which insurance paid for, and my portable pump is a momcozy; both pumps have screens so that you can see the suction level, switch suction pattern, and time pumped. I didn't know I would appreciate those features prior to pumping. I'm giving it 3-stars since the machine itself is still working, but I have no incentive to purchase replacement parts if they are just going to break in a few months.
