Works well with my freestyle. My only complaint is that it was just delivered as is instead of being in an Amazon box.

Finally took the plunge on buying this as an alternative to the original pumping system that came with the breast feeding pump I’m using. I wish I would have done so sooner. I struggled with making enough milk and so pumping is key to help me increase my production. That said the inconvenience if the cumbersome traditional system made it harder for me to be as consistent as I needed to be. Trying this 4 months into breastfeeding and after just one use I’m already so glad I got it. It stays on nipple better than traditional system I find. Because your bra holds it in place it feels more stable to move around. Would definitely recommend.

Tellement pratique pour se libérer les mains et très confortable

The newly designed cups are terrible. They added a new ring on the inside of them which makes one more thing to clean. Plus, when you’re pouring the milk out it gets stuck where the ring is. I also have to add that these are SO SO hard to open compared to the older model!! I have to use a knife to get it open. I would pay extra money to be able to buy the older model.

I already had the freestyle flex when this pump came out. I wanted to purchase the cups b/c buying the pump set would've been too costly and unnecessary. I waited for months for it to be available and I luckily bought mine during prime day!!

The cups are super light and fit in my nursing bras nicely. I barely notice them while I'm pumping and I feel so much freedom! Even with my freestyle pump I felt I had to be stationary because the bottles would stick out and flop around. The cups are flush to my skin and are very comfortable to wear. It came with size 24 and 21 flanges. I switched to the size 21 after a day because I found the 24s kept a pool of milk near the opening. When I removed the cups some milk would come out from the flange, but I believe it's because the 24s were too big for me.

I only rated it 4 stars because opening and closing the parts are a bit difficult. I already spilled some milk because I didn't close it properly. The clasps are very tight (of course) so i have to press the other end of the cup against the table while i press the area near the clasp in order to open it for washing. I use my pump multiple times a day so this becomes pretty tedious.

Also, there aren't any replacement membranes, o-rings or tube extensions sold separately. So if the membranes were to loosen, or somehow get damaged you'd have to buy a whole new set just to get the membranes.

Because I was able to get it during prime day, I got a very good deal and 2 days shipping. I got my package on time and if there's another deal I would buy another pair! Overall a great purchase with minor set-backs.

I purchased these as an alternative to the usual setup that comes with the Medela Freestyle pump. I found that while these are marketed as a hands- free option, this is not actually true. You still have to attach these to the actual pump and that pump needs to be carried around. They have a decent capacity for milk but the problem is that the suction seems to not be the same with these. I was not able to remove the usual amount of milk. I would recommend these if I was pumping in the car because they are more discreet. Although if you are bigger- chested then these may not be so discreet. Overall, an ok item.

I love the Medela cups. I have the cups that came with the Freestyle Flex and these. I read reviews that these cups that are sold separately are a new design that includes a silicone o-ring which is an extra part to clean (although Medela says they dont need to be removed for cleaning.. I still do.) I don’t really mind the one extra piece because they are still less parts than other cups and hands free pump sets. I get the same output with these as I do with regular flanges and bottle set up. These don’t leak at all, stand on their own and are easy to pour into bottles when done.

Are they hands free?
Kind of.
The cups are hands free but you still have all the tubing to manage so I wouldn’t say they’re totally hands free.
Do they work okay?
I guess so
Are they better than having bottles hanging off your chest?
I’d say so,
however the hole at the top to pour milk is quite big so if you bend they will spill. They’re shaped weird so they move around a bit if you have small boobs.
Are they good quality?
Absolutely not!
For the price of $100 I’d expect the cups to not be made of flimsy plastic that bends!
Are they easy to assemble?
Heck no!
The cups are difficult to assemble and require lots of fiddling to get them together. If you don’t have the bottom piece quite clicked in all the way they spill everywhere! They are also difficult to open for cleaning. The extension tubing is also finicky to attach.
Is the suction good?
It’s alright
. By adding connectors to the usual pump they decrease the suction so you have to pump at least 10 minutes longer to fully empty.
Are they comfortable?
Not really.
Hard plastic pressed against my skin is not my favourite! I much prefer other wearable pumps silicone flanges.
Are they easy to wash?
Mm they’re ok.
They only have 3 pieces to wash which is nice however washing inside the flange can be tricky.

Overall I recommend a truly hands free wearable pump like mom cozy over Medela. Medela is over priced and the quality isn’t great. However if you like your Medela pump and don’t want bottles hanging off your chest and have $100 laying around these are alright and you could try them.

Cons
Way overpriced!
Expensive replacement parts
Hard plastic feels cheap and flimsy
Suction not as good as regular pump
Difficult to assemble
Tubing still needs to be managed

Pros
No bottles on chest you can actually hold your baby while pumping
That’s really the only pro

I love these, I would say I get slightly less output than with the traditional flange style.

However the trade off is worth it when am solo, I have way more freedom with these. Combine a pumping bra, a shirt over top to cover the tubes and a pocket for the pump and voila!

The baby has a harder time accidentally dislodging the pump, but you can hold them and move.

I had issues using the Elvie pump during my last breastfeeding journey due to elastic nipples. I wasn’t sure what to expect with these cups, but wanted to try something more convenient than other methods. THESE WERE AMAZING. I have been able to use exclusively since day one with no supply issues. I ordered a backup set for less frequent washing too!

The biggest down fall is I did not realise but MEDELA SELL THIS EXACT PRODUCT FOR HALF THE PRICE. Don’t over pay like I did!! I even contacted the seller who is not interested in helping me.

These Medela pumping cups and SO good. Compared to my Momcozy and Tommee tippee wearables I get the best output and most comfortable with these. I already had a freestyle but the older pump parts.

I don’t like that it comes with adaptors to attach to your tubing, sometimes if you pull on it the wrong way they can come apart easy. It would have been better to come with full replacement tubing.

Best collection cups on the market and I’ve tried several different ones. There is only 3 parts to wash per cup which is life changing. Other collection cups are 6 each. The 3 parts are also way easier to clean than any other pump parts. I use a silicon flange insert and they are extremely comfortable. Personally I have pain while pumping and these are more comfortable than regular flanges and I get the same milk output. I hacked these with my spectra blue for the best of both worlds. These really changed the exclusive pumping game.

1.0 out of 5 stars Useless collection cups
Reviewed in the United States on March 11, 2024

I wanted to use the hands-free collection cups on my Pump In Style but cleverly, Medela ensured that you need to buy a whole new pump and tubing for that, so reluctantly I did.

Once they arrived I sanitized and pumped while going about my day only to be disappointed that it only got a fraction of the Pump In Style and regular collection cups. After using it a couple more times with minor adjustments the milk yield still have not improved.

Upon investigation, I realised that the hands-free collection cups seem to allow small amounts of pressure in overtime, weakening the suction capability, thus pulling less milk. I checked them for cracks but there weren’t none. It just seems like the cups just do not make a good seal in general.

I held the hands-free cups in my hands to cover any areas where I thought air might be getting in and was able to get a decent yield. However, once you get a large amount of milk in these cups, getting the milk out safely is like a military operation.

Needless to say, spills ensued, and that was the last dealing that I had with these so-called hands-free collection cups. I can deal with the fact that these didn’t work properly and just get a refund. However, the fact that I had to get these in the first place when Medela could just so easily make their cups and tubing universal across all machines just seems like greed on their part. Juggling breastfeeding, working and looking after a newborn is stressful enough without this. Things like this that make me understand why some women would rather just use formula.
