Product description

Two front panels, two 200mm ARGB fans, and a handle to grip onto when the adrenaline kicks in. The MasterCase H500 is established as the go-to ATX PC chassis for high performance airflow. Now, with 200mm ARGB fans, its legacy is upgraded with premium lighting. Each choice of front panels decide whether the build will excel at ruthless airflow performance or head-turning aesthetics. Of course, the mesh is the ideal choice for providing the pre-installed fans with high volumes of fresh air. The transparent panel, on the other hand, parades those fans in crystal clear view. With the included accessories, substantial ventilation, and iconic H-Series design elements, the MasterCase H500 retains all of the advantages of the original while adding ARGB fans for good measure.

Great case, even better with AP183 180mm mod
Coming from a Silverstone FT02, the MC H500 is not in the same quality range and this is also reflected with the price.I was shopping for a new case because I found out that my new EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 didn't like to be installed vertically (10C higher temperature). So, I began to look for a case that uses large fans because I was using 180mm fans since 2009 and really liked them.Stumble across this H500 case with a mesh front, looked at it and thought that my new AP183 fans would fit.Upon receiving the case and without testing the original fans 200mm, I proceed to cut out the front and installed my AP183 fans. It must be noted that doing so erase any possibilities of using 120/140mm fans in the future. With the AP183 installed, the case performs beautifully in the noise and the cooling department. The bottom 180mm fan is also perfectly aligned to feed fresh air to the GPU, which is not the case with the new Fractal Torrent case, for example. Also, with the use of the AP183 (and their special airflow pattern), at medium speed (around 800rpm), you can feel fresh air going to the last fan of the GPU. You also don't feel any hot air coming from the GPU and recirculating back into it.Point to be noted, the GPU temperatures are better (around 2-3C) without the PSU shroud. Finally, I really like how this case/project turned out, some work was needed, but it now performs beautifully.I hope that my review can help some that are hesitant and would like to use their beloved 180mm fans.

Paid 85$, best computer case for the money. Comes with 2 big 200mm fans in the front for lots of air flow and runs super quiet. Lots of space inside for huge triple fan gpu.

I probably can't say anything that hasn't already been said about this case. The dual 200mm front fans provide excellent air flow for everything in the system and they're quiet. The case looks good lit up but it's also a good looking case with the RGB off. The power supply cover may only be plastic BUT that makes it easy to case mod it to add an extra fan that blows straight up into the GPU fans.

The only one thing that might be worth noting is that if you want a 240mm top radiator it'll fit well. But the 2x140mm holes are a bit close to the mobo side of the case so a 280mm radiator would likely require a case mod.

TLDR: It's likely the best air cooling case you can get and it's an amazing value for the price.

Second time building my own computer and don't build computer for a living. New to RGB and it does look nice.
MoBo : Asus ROG Crosshair viii x570
CPU : Ryzen 3800X and AMD fan that comes with the chip
GPU : Asus Geforce RTX 2070 Super OC edition
PSU : be quiet Pure Power 11 700 W

Pro: Cheap. Easy to follow manual. Easy cable management. Looks fairly sturdy as long as you don't throw or kick it around. Very clean look both at the front and at the side. Magnetic dust filter on the top side. Regular dust filter slider at the bottom. PSU shroud is removeable. Cable Shroud pre-installed. Mesh front is pre-installed & comes with plastic see-thru panel if you want to switch it. Front fans & USB pins are semi pre-hooked for easy cable management.

Con: Easy to smudge side screen. Glass panel screws are not thumb screws. Not the quietest case but passable for the price. ***Back panel that hides the cables are susceptible to bulging easily

I want to give this case a 4.5 star out of five

The case is quite sturdy. The carry handle actually can function as a carry handle. Lots of room inside the case for various setups and all sizes of GPU. I got a RTX 3090 in with room to spare. It does feel a bit lacking on quality. The back panel feels a bit cheap and thin. The power button feels like a 1995 Compaq Presario loose and extra clicky. Thumb screws would be a big plus. Also something better than the oversize flat head screws to hold on the front panel would be a big plus.. Easy access to the inside of the computer, is not so easy. I leave them a bit lose so I can still open them with my fingers. I will say, the tempered glass side panel, and nice mesh front are good for looks and airflow. They include a plastic front panel if you want to switch it out, buy why? Who would.

Very easy to build with and cable management was a breeze, sturdy case with high quality materials. The flathead screws to take off the side glass are a bit of a pain but not a big deal. Gamers Nexus turned me to this case since I was looking for something with high airflow but for a fair price and the Cooler Master H500 did not disappoint, my thermals dropped down several degrees compared to my Corsair Spec-04. In my opinion glass panels or anything covering the entire front of the case shouldn't be a normal design feature in any computer case, you can always make a mesh front panel look good and still keep your components cool while doing so and the Cooler Master H500 does both very well.

Let me start by saying that the normal price for this case is a hundred dollars. If significantly more is being asked for it, just be aware that you are paying more than MSRP.

That said, this is an excellent case. It is better than the older Cooler Master case I was using before. The airflow is amazing, and the aesthetics are very much to my liking. The lighting isn't overdone or gaudy. The thick tempered glass side panel is really nice. The cable management is outstanding, with holes right where you want them, and covers to make everything look really clean. They give you a generous amount of space behind the back panel and spots for zip ties to keep all your cables where you want them. It has two trays that can take a HDD or an SSD, and two spots on the back to mount SSDs out of sight. The front fans look fantastic, and they move an insane amount of air while remaining super, super quiet. The included optional RGB switch works great if you don't have a motherboard that supports RGB control (I don't). Do be aware that the rear exhaust fan is not RGB. I had a fan from my old case that I used to replace it. I also added a 140mm fan from my old case to the top for extra exhaust, and that gave me almost perfect neutral pressure. It's just barely positive pressure now, which I consider to be ideal. I still have the mesh front panel on, and I think it looks great, but if maximum airflow isn't necessary for your build, the included acrylic front panel looks really nice as well.

One of the main reasons I got this case is that is has a handle on top. I usually game in my living room, but I have a dedicated VR room as well, so I have to carry my tower across the house pretty often. The handle on this is great. They don't tell you this, but there is a second handle under the bottom front support, so you can carry it with both hands. It's heavy, but you can really get a secure hold on it. It's also very doable with just the top handle.

I found this case to be a joy to build in. Every aspect of the build quality feels like a more expensive case. I honestly can't believe they are selling these for "a bill." I would have felt I got my money's worth even if I had paid half again as much. I would strongly recommend this case. I am super happy with it, and my PC buddies are jealous.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing High-Airflow Case
Reviewed in Singapore on December 23, 2019
Pattern Name: CaseVerified Purchase
Definitely use the mesh front panel with this one. The clear front panel obstructs airflow significantly and does raise temperatures. With the mesh though airflow is great, with my Ryzen 5 3600 never going above 75C at 4K gaming. Lots of space for cable management, and building is easy. The PSU shroud comes off easily so installing the PSU is a breeze as well. The 2 included Cooler Master MF200R RGB fans at the front also cost around $25 each so if you account for that, the case is quite cheap for the build quality. Make sure your mobo has an RGB header for the lights on the front fans though. For most newer boards this probably won't be a problem but most older boards won't have them. I suppose it'll work just fine without the lights, but fancy lighting looks nice.
