Purchased the 50pack of pregnancy tests, hoping to have them on hand for some time (like, a year or two?) but the package I received expires in 5 months from the date I received it. Yes, the pricing is affordable, but you might be wasting a lot of tests. 50 tests in 5 months is a lot to try and use.

I loved my tester sticks, we have been trying for about a year and when we finally got pregnant I was shocked! I used these few times a month or so cause I was losing hope.. but then I seen a very VERY faint second line! I took a few tests a day for 3-4 days before making a drop in appointment at my doctors for a pee test(they told me it was negative). But I took another home test with these and still got the very faint line so I went to the hospital next day to request a blood test through the ER(I had a scheduled surgery for the upcoming week I had a strong feeling I was pregnant and would have to cancel if I was).. well doctor said it was positive! Very early on but it was a positive!! These tests work great :)

I took one of these and an “Easy @ Home” strip test and I could BARELY see a line on the easy at home, i really thought it was negative until i looked at the Make a Baby one and it was for sure positive!! The concept is a good idea but it does not detect pregnancy early enough. Had been taking the tests for a couple weeks with zero evidence of a line. When I took the test and there was a slight line(I also took like 5 more with the same results), I took a more expensive test to confirm and it was very dark and solid. Turns out I was already at 7-8 weeks and this test barely picked it up. Do not recommend for early detection.

Like many folks TTC, I tried out several different brands of HPTs and had mixed experiences with most of them. Some of the more sensitive tests tend to give lots of indent lines. By contrast, the less sensitive tests don't have that problem but they are, well, less sensitive.

This is the only test I found that produced zero indents while being sensitive enough to pick up a BFP on the same day as First Response. I'm really impressed with this product and surprised it isn't ranked more highly. In retrospect, I wish I had saved money on other tests and just stuck with this brand.

UPDATE:

I am adding a photo showing the difference between this HPT and other ones available on Amazon. You can see that the line is much darker / clearer with the top strip from Make-A-Baby versus the other brands (note: all of the strips were dipped into the same sample at the same time).

So I originally 1 star reviewed these for a super faint line compared to another brand that wasn’t as sensitive. However, I had HCG levels drawn and my initial HCG was only at 5. So these did pick up a level of 5. My only complaint is that the lines are still not as dark as the “easy at home” brand. I have more of these and I am testing to see the line progression. It’s just a little hard to use these with the other ones because of the difference in darkness from the same day/ sample.

I really wanted to love this product because it said it detects up to 10ml. I am really trying to conceive so I am a constant tester. I keep track on a daily basis simply for my own paranoia. I did read the reviews and decided to give it a shot anyway. 7dpo I noticed a faint line. Afterwards, all negatives. I kept track of my BBT anyway and found that it wasn’t going to be my month. Around 14dpo my blood test confirmed no pregnancy. I was ok with that. I kept testing just to keep track for myself. At 16 dpo, I noticed a little pink when I wiped. I knew my period was coming. I still tested anyway with FMU. To my surprise, I got a positive at 16DPO. I knew it was a mistake and retested again. I got a negative. No, I am not pregnant. These test are good but I recommend to confirm your positives. I haven’t found any other test that are as sensitive as these but overall they are ok. I would just have take 2 tests lol. Again, it preference for me. I just liked that they are sensitive. Super I guess. As for the pictures, I had a pregmate test and also tested to compare and yes… negative.
