Very satisfied!
The MSI Expert is a high-end card, with an excellent quality aluminum finish.I had a Zotac 3080ti before and it screams like a jet engine when it runs at around maximum power. However, when the MSI Expert runs at 98%, the only noise I can hear is my case fans.

Second only to the 4090, but who wants to pay $2500 for a videocard? Just stupidly fast.

I bought this because i wanted a quality graphics card. The look and the new style (comparable to the Founders Edition) are just a really nice touch to me. Im impressed with this graphics card, It can get a little hot when going over 100% power limit. But thats to be expected with a 2 fan card with aluminum enclosure. idle Temps were in the 40s. I have no concern because this is normal for this card. Currently using studio drivers but more gaming than anything. Very fast, although my CPU cant keep up in most games that are cpu bound because its so fast meaning im not even using the most of the GPU in 4k with a 12700k OC’d to 5ghz 3600mhz 16cl RAM. Also, boost clock stock is pretty decent for not being an OC model. Can get a decent OC with this card and if you set a fan curve, the thermals will be much better. Very nice design it feels like a collectors card even the box looks premium. I will be purchasing from MSI from now on since EVGA isnt making graphics cards anymore. (sadly)

Edited: Please make sure you have enough space in your case for this GPU as it needs a full size case to close.. unless you get a Cablemod Stealth sense cable adapter. Also, beware of bending the Nvidia adapter that comes with the card as i was getting blank screens trying to cable manage the default adapter.. best if you have a PCIE 5.0 PSU. I switched to a cablemod stealth sense 12vhp 3x8pin adapter all was good and the card was running like it should. I have a Lian Li 011D full size case and it fits but your case might be too small if its a MID size tower.

I'll be honest; I picked this variant of the 4080 Super as at the time I purchased it, it was the only model available close to MSRP.

But I'm glad enough I did. This thing's been rock solid with respectable temperatures. It's a bit weighty as the cooling shroud is metal along with the backplate. I appreciate that this thing allows air to pass through the card at the far end, like the nVidia Founders models do. I appreciate the extra airflow and my RAM does as well.

It comes with a 2x8-Pin PCIE connector converter to the newer PCIE 12VHPWR needed to power the card. I'm sure it's fine, but I haven't used it. I'm using a BeQuiet! 12V-2x6 cable directly from my power supply to power it. 12V-2x6 is a slightly newer and safer backward-compatible version of the 12VHPWR connector that helps with melting connector problems. The 4080s don't have the same melting reports that the 4090 does, but the PSU cable was worth the $20 piece of mind.

I didn't notice much card "sag" when installed in my Lian Li 215. Regardless, I am using the (also included) kick stand to reduce the sag and equalize some pressure that's exerted on the PCIE slot. It's pretty simple to use, but it's length might not be long enough to reach the card in larger cases, or older mid-towers that don't have a shroud or compartment for the PSU.

It's decently quiet as well. I'm running it in a system quite close to my bed's headboard. During the Winter with no fans running in the room, at idle, I can only tell a computer is on if I concentrate, Under gaming loads, there's a faint sound I can notice, but I'm not sure if it's the GPU or CPU cooler making the noise. It disappears with even the faintest of game volume though, so good enough for me.

The temps are fine. It might not be quite as good at overclocking as some triple-axial 3.5-slot monstrosities, but manually overclocking GPUs isn't super useful for the average joe these days. Cards overclock themselves by design, and you only really have limited access to power targets and memory speeds anyway. Gains can be had, but only a few percent in trades of much more heat and noise, which just isn't going to make or break a gaming experience. A boost clock of 2600MHz is pretty much sustained for me as long as enough of the GPU is being utilized.

If you want an attractive designed card that offers passthrough airflow and the nVidia Founders card isn't available (let's face it, it NEVER is) this is a good choice. Like I said early on, when I went looking, this was the closest card to MSRP that was available. That might not be the case for you so shop around.
