Although it's mostly very easy to assemble. There is no instruction at all. It's not all that clear you have to take off those caps to assmble them or which direction is the joint..
Otherwise it is actually more sturdy then I imagined. It is a bit unstable when it's fully extended, but it won't tip over by itself. I dont' have any experience with professional equipment. But I feel the light is quite bright at full. It is nice to able to be able to dim and change light temp. One of the light doesn't turn off by remote. but can still dim and change light temp, so it's not a big deal. I've used it for a couple of days and it is holding up ok.
Overall I think it's totally worth the price to take nice portrait at home.

Perfect for Product Photography
This kit is perfect for product photography! I needed nice bright but soft white light to do white background photography and I have tried many light sources. Now with the MountDog LED lighting kit I can stop searching. I assembled the kit and left it set up for quick access whenever I need to add a producy to my website.The lights can be set to bright white and can change colour and brightness using the remote. The remote controis work well to change the settings in the LED bulb and there is no problem with changing settings with the bulb inside the reflector and the remote outside. It is also a great time saver because one click on the remote and I can turn all the lights on or off. Before I had to visit each light stand individually to turn the switches on or off.The softboxes go together well. After attaching the corners of the diffuser to the softbox, make sure to join the Velcro pads in the middle of each side. This not only keeps the light in the reflector, but it is key in making the reflector solid.The sands are completely adequate for this job - I have no concerns about then holding the provided softboxes and LED lights securely. That being said, I would not use them to put a heavy studio flashhead on.I would not hesitate to buy this again.
