love the fact that it is two light stands and a bar made of 4 length sections. Can use set for additional light stands when not using it for backdrop. Multi-use. The height is adjustable, just like you adjust the light stands, by pulling the rods up or down on the light stand. The length is adjustable by determining how many poles to slide into one another and then mounting on top of the light stands. The mounting process is easy simply slide the hole in either end of the rod onto the top screw of the light stand on either end. Comes with a bag divided into three inside pouches to add the lightstand and the rods to its own pouch. Supper easy to carry and secure. Its extremely light, but most backdrops are very light as well so i didn't need to use any sandbags. Although kit came with sandbags, empty of course of sand. You have to buy your own backdrops, i bought two on amazon. One was white linen fabric and the other was polyester paper like material. It comes with four clamps, more than enough to hang the backdrops. Please note if using white backdrops you need to manually adjust the exposure compensation to +1 to make the white appear white. The camera is programmed to treat the colors as shades of grey and tends to see white as a grey colour without exposure compensation. Likewise it sees black as grey as well and you need to subtract exposure compensation to -1 to make black appear black
