Very easy to put on but you have to be a little patient. Make sure to follow the video that's linked in the instructions. There is so much resistance to this screen protector. Remind me of writing on construction paper with a ballpoint pen. It's a lot easier to control the pen and my writing looks more normal with the amount of texture and resistance.

I use my iPad a lot for notes in electrical engineering so I have had to replace my nib once already. I probably needed to replace it a lot easier because it got to the point where my pen would sometime skip when I was using oneNote. So I say in a semester and a half, I should have gone through two nibs which is pretty good. If you are using those fine tip nibs though, you'll notice that where pencil touches and where the mark appears is not fully aligned. I think it just comes with the parallax of adding a screen protector. Just something to think about. If you use the regular nibs that come with the apple pencil then you wont notice any parallax at all. Also note that your pencil may be squicky at first because of all the texture but after a day of notetaking and homework, the squeaky noise went away.

This is the best screen protector I've used with the iPad for notetaking that I have ever used. The amount of resistance and the texture is perfect. The screen looks a bit more dull but I would stay it's still great. If you use this mostly for notetaking or drawing, then you should give this a try.

So overall, I don't really get the bad reviews. This thing is less than 1/4 the price of the PaperLike 2.1 - but feels 90% as good. It's the same installation method as PaperLike, if you watch the video and take your time it's super easy to line it up and have it go on just right. The matte finish works well for me - mutes the colours and brightness a little bit, but nothing at all I would complain about.

The writing itself, feels so, so much better. No more slippery screen - it's not like this has some huge amount of grip, but enough that it is easier to control and more natural. For the price, I think this is a great buy.

Can’t say how it will stand to daily use but it makes a beautiful sound paired with the metal tips of my Apple Pencil which I got by recommendation of other reviews. So glad I read about the wear on the regular tips because it would have been sad to lose the rubber tips to wear and tear. Installation wasn’t complicated (there’s not a lot of steps) but it was difficult to get the dust off entirely somehow. That’s entirely on me, so don’t think I blame the seller or manufacturer. Just an observation that if this will bother you then get someone who is good at this types of installations. In the end, I messed up one spot but it’s mostly stuck on and works really well. The iPad is still very responsive, I think the metal tips are more responsive that the original ones. So no issues at all using my apps plus now I get the beautiful pencil sound when I write.

Installation seems relatively simple up until it comes to cleaning the iPad. I used the wipes and the dust stickers diligently and made sure everything around me was clear, but I still ended up with little white dust dots getting trapped underneath the protector. I wasted one in the process of fixing it.

When I had tried again with the second protector, I learned the dust or specks were coming from the little cloth that comes with the package. After the alcohol cleaning wipes left very strong streaks on the screen, I spent ten minutes just trying to get rid of those streaks and the dust specks left behind which ended up being blown away by myself instead of using the cloth - the dust stickers actually didn’t help the most, either. It took 3/4 of the given stickers before I managed to get it to stop slapping the specks back onto the screen.

In the end I still ended up with a series of tiny bubbles that won’t go away no matter how much I use the squeegee and I worry it’s little tiny specks that I missed. It is difficult to capture it in photos, so I uploaded a second photo where I circle exactly where I have bubbles.

Overall, I gave it a 3-star because when the ipad is on, I only see one or two of the bubbles which I think I can avoid (although it not being bubble-free is still a bit upsetting) and it is nice to write with after application is done.

Sad I had to use both protectors in order to get one on, though :(( .

when I opened the package there were no instructions at all so I had to watch the video on the QR code which was less than 30 seconds. It didn't explain anything and was very difficult to follow. When I finally got to the step of peeling off the seal and actually applying the product, I realized it was too big even though the product says it fits 5th generation iPads. I used a squidgy like kitchen tool to flatten out the screen protector anyways trying to see if it will just work out but the air bubbles did not go away no matter how hard I pressed. It was to the point where I was starting to scratch it. This product sucks and lacks way too much for me not to write a review, I highly recommend not buying it.
