How To Set Password?

The operation is not complicated at all

  1. Open the lock with default code 000
  2. Use a sharp object to press the reset button on the bottom of the lock
  3. Hold on， do not release it then rotate the dial to set your password
  4. Release the reset button and your password is done

  • Make sure press in the reset button fully when you're setting new code once loosen a wrong code will be remembered.

The only reason why I gave 4 stars for Ease of Use is that my "old person eyes" found it a bit hard to see the numbers, without reading glasses, where it lines up with the arrow for putting in the combination. Greater contrast would make it perfect!

Received our order of locks on time as scheduled. The first lock took the new code without an issue. The second lock however would not open with the new code. It appears the tumbler is faulty. If you play with it, sometimes it will release the lock. But who wants to have to spend an hour playing with the lock to open your luggage. I couldn't contact the seller as the website was blocked as insecure so I contacted Amazon. The only thing they would do for me is issue an account credit. First I was offered $6 but when I claimed that I had paid $16 for it and insisted on $8. which I received. Then to discover I can only use it for something SOLD AND SHIPPED by Amazon. Which of course any of these locks are not, so I cannot even use this credit to replace the faulty lock. Totally not impressed.

These are solid locks but of course they're easy to break with wire cutters so more of a deterrent to the opportunist as well as preventing accidental bag opening and spillage. Easy to use and should be adequate for air travel, etc. but maybe not if you're leaving things unattended for a while.
