It works fine and is quite handy. Like that it has an on/off and that after holding something on it that it holds the reading for a few seconds so you can take a look after you remove what you where hanging, handy! No idea towards longevity as only used a couple times and will not be using often. Because of this I fell it will last a long time for me anyways, someone who uses it often, who knows.

Good digital luggage display. However you cannot attached the hook to ordinary/universal style luggage handles in order to get the weight. I tied ribbons onto the handle so I could slip the hook under them. This did work but probably wouldn't work well if the load is nearer 23kg airline resistriction.
