I got a dud :(

I got a dud :(
I've always bought logitec and never had a problem. This keyboard is pure chaos. It turns the volume up to 100% randomly, refuses to switch tabs with alt+ commands, will lower my web pages and stop me from reopening them and will simply stop typing at any given moment. The mouse is the knly trooper as it functions 100% or the time. I don't give 1 star because i just got unlucky. Not so fun fact fun fact, while choosing a replacement item, the list had tylenol extra strenght as an option. I laughed...

I've always had great experiences with this keyboard and mouse set, and I've never had any problems with it. The quality is really good, which makes it a great option for anyone looking to buy. I've bought this product more than once, and it's always worked perfectly. The keys on the keyboard and the buttons on the mouse feel really soft, which makes them nice to use and comfortable. I definitely suggest getting this if you're looking for reliable and high-quality computer accessories.

Logitech makes good products in the "step up from what comes with your device" range. Opinions on how keyboards and mice feel are always subjective, but I think these are hard to beat in the "cheap but good" category.

The keyboard doesn't feel expensive, but it's a solid wireless board that you'll be able to use without complaint for at least a few years. If you need an ergonomic keyboard or you're an enthusiast with a favorite mechanical keyboard then you won't enjoy it, but you also probably don't need a review to tell you that.

The mouse is functional. Again, it's better than what's bundles with most machines, but unlike the keyboard the difference isn't as noticable. You can get better mice pretty cheap, but as part of the combo the mouse is okay.

Battery life for both is pretty good, and Logitech's receiver is a favorite of mine because it's reliable, and you can add additional devices. So if you do get a different Logitech mouse (for example) you can pair it to the existing dongle rather than using up another port. You're not getting a premium product, but you're not paying a premium price. There is certainly better out there, if you're willing to pay 4x the price, but for the price this is a solid choice.

I have been a big fan of Logitech products. As you can see I am presently using 4 of their keyboard and mouse combos at the same time. However I cannot recommend the Logitech Cordless Desktop MK335 Keyboard and Mouse Combo. Here are the specific reasons. A number of reviewers already mentioned there is a scratchy sound from the scrolling wheel on the mouse. It's definitely there and it is not subtle, it is loud enough to hear it from 3 feet away. More importantly the scratchy sound also translate to rolling resistance, it does not smoothly scroll, there is perceptible resistance. When you are scrolling up and down a short web page, this resistance is not a problem however I often work with several million rows of SQL data table and this slight resistance is causing a lot of pain in the wrist. None of the other three Logitech mice I own, which ranges from much more expensive to a lot cheaper price suffer from this problem.

However, the bigger problem lies with what other reviewers have mentioned. The keyboard intermittently stop working. Reading various forum and reviews, this problem may be associated with aggressive battery saving mode to meet the advertised 2 year battery life, however I think this is a hypothesis not proven causation. I have found some work around, if you turn off and turn on the switch in the back of the keyboard, it will start working again. I had tested the hypothesis of aggressive battery saving mode, by going into the operating system power saving mode and resetting it to high performance mode (always on, never sleep) and in the advanced setting disabled the USB selective suspend setting. Then intermittent stops I have experienced completely disappeared. I would NOT RECOMMEND applying these settings to work around keyboard problem as such actions may increase your hydro bill, shorten the life of the computer (laptop battery) and stress other peripheral devices. Even the much cheaper MK270 do not have these problems.

I type a lot. I've written over 20 books and have a huge website in both English and Greek. I've got no problems with the keyboard or mouse in their function. But after a couple of years, the letters on some of the keys rub off. Since I generally don't always look at my keyboard to type; but once in a while, I do. The letters on the most common keys are gone.-

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to Install, Very Quiet
Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2024

After several years of use, my previous Logitech keyboard wore out, so I immediately replaced it with this model. I opened the box, pulled the battery tabs, inserted the USB dongle and everything worked flawlessly. The keyword is very quiet, as is the mouse. The only issue I’ve encountered so far is that the function keys are in a different location than the earlier model, and the legends are printed in an ink color that is too dark and difficult to read, so I have to peer carefully to see if I’m pressing the volume up or volume down key.

5.0 out of 5 stars You can pair any two Logitech keyboard and mouse.

I bought this combination for use in the office. Now every desk in the office has this combination. The biggest attraction is that you can pair any two Logitech keyboard and mouse with the new tool Logitech designed. The hand size of the mouse is comfortable. The keyboard is relatively quiet. If we have to swap a keyboard because the assigned keyboard was removed, no problem. The new pair work seamlessly. This is good value for the cost!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Good General-Purpose Keyboard and Mouse Combo
Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2022
Verified Purchase
Well-made and responsive; a great bargain for a general-purpose mouse and keyboard set, with phenomenal battery life and a good keyboard feel. However, definitely not a keyboard for gaming, as the action is a common membrane keyboard action and not a microswitch-based keyboard; also, you should never game with a wireless mouse and keyboard due to lag. Lag that's unnoticeable in a wireless keyboard/mouse combo for general use can be very problematic when gaming. It also has an impressively long range; I've used one to do presentations where the keyboard/mouse was at least 20-25 feet from the receiver on the PC. One last note: Be very careful unpacking your new mouse and keyboard combo, as Logitech can't seem to decide where to put the all-important wireless receiver. Some models hide it in the mouse (a black, unmarked nub inside a black mouse, where it all blends together), others under the liner in the box, while some put it in a little sleeve next to the keyboard. Very easy to miss and accidentally throw away.

4.0 out of 5 stars Similar to the one it replaced, which by the way is over 10 years old.

I like the feel of a logitec keyboard. I got a good deal on this one. Hope it lasts as long as the original. One issue i must solve is the mouse stalls at times. A slap on the table gets it going. Otherwise it would rate 5 stars.

I bought this keyboard/mouse combo to use for work. It was easy to install and I love it! I’ve been using it for a couple months now, they keys respond well, the mouse is not slow and I also like that this version is not as loud w/ the key strokes as the older Logitech version. That’s why I gave this purchase 5 stars ⭐️ Overall I recommend! If you’ve been looking forever for a good, not so pricey keyboard I recommend this one!
