I plugged this into my iPhone XR running IOS 17 and an HDMI port on my television and it worked instantly with no fiddling around.There are no settings, no controls, and no software or drivers to install. It did the job immediately and well.When I turn my phone on its side, I get a full 1080P HD image that fills the television and looks great. In portrait mode, I see an exact mirror of the iPhone screen.This is much easier for me than any other method of sharing my screen.

This lightning to HDMI adapter needs an app to use and if you read the instruction manual it says it works up to iphone 7,8 &10. I tested it on the iphone 14 max pro and struggled to get it to work. There is a 10second delay in connecting. I downloaded the app and updated the firmware but it still seems buggy and not compatible with the iphone 14 Max Pro. It does have a block when trying to stream any broadcast so will not work trying to stream. I find it slow and no sound. Still needs work.

I have a USB C to HDMI connector for my ipad for when a hotel we are in doesn't have smart TV's. It's good to be able to use youtube to see videos of things we're planning to do the next day etc. Or just overall entertainment options in the room.

Sometimes I don't bring my ipad and the connector because I don't otherwise need it and we like to travel light. During those times, if we get to the hotel I regret not bringing it. However I always have my cellphone! And carrying an extra cable is no issue for me!

I know I won't need this once I upgrade my phone, so it will be soon obsolete. But for now, I'm glad it's there and I've already put it in my travel pouch with chargers etc.

It works! I can connect my iPhone and iPad to a stand alone monitor for screen mirroring and no need to turn on the computer. Very convenient!

However, the quality of the cable is not the best and it's kind of fragile

I took this cable along with me on my last trip and I'm happy to say that I was able to connect my iPhone 15 with the hotel tv in just a few minutes and watch my Netflix movies on the big screen.

It is plug and play, I look forward to using this with my mini-projector the next time we have a movie night in the backyard.

Build quality is good, happy to recommend.
