Does the job
Our old faux leather ottoman was all scratched up by the cats and after 12+ years, the material was flaking off everywhere. I didn’t want to throw out the ottoman, because other than the flaking material, it was still in great shape and totally sturdy. So I bought this tape and gave it a shot. Super easy to cut and adhere, forgiving too as it’s not super sticky. However, we’ll see how it holds up. I used the blow dryer on it afterwards to help the glue on the backside stick better, but it doesn’t seem super strong. Having said that, I also didn’t shave off the shedding bits and pieces off the old material first. It seems to stick to hard, smooth surfaces a lot better.But for what I need - to stop the old material from flaking away - it sure does the trick.Ordered a second roll for the top of the ottoman. See photo for the “after” pics. The bumps are from the crappy material underneath.

My dog digs at my leather couch and has worn the leather ...this looks amazing g I was completely shocked how good it look , I did use too much down the sides and it kind of stuck to each other and was hard to get apart but that was my first time trying it ...I left it cause it looks good on top just the side that you can't see are a little bit puckered as they are still stuck together ...next time I will cut it shorter to go down the sides ...love it though it's really hard to notice that it's there !
