Seemed like a good product
Seemed like this was going to fill my needs. I take pictures of my church services and I liked the idea of wrapping the legs around the pew to stabilize my cell phone.I used this product twice before returning.First the good - product arrived as shown online. Other posts on similar products indicated that the legs on these types of tripods break easily. These legs seem very sturdy to me. They have a really nice rubber grip, feel great to hold, and did wrap onto a church pew well. No problem with the legs.The bad - a little confusing as to how to attach the grip portion that attaches to phone. The grip came attached so that the cell phone was vertical. Took a little figuring how to reattach the extra grip that came with the product so that I could film horizontally. There is no option to switch back and forth from horizontal to vertical because you have to unscrew the entire grip portion.The 2nd time I placed my phone into the grip, the flexi portion that grips the phone fell off. It didn't break and I could reattach, but it is obvious that there is only a 2mm plastic tooth that holds the arms onto the grip. I think this is continuously going to fall off. Should also mention, that you need 2 hands to pull the grip open to side in your phone. Not the most convenient if you want to put your phone quickly into the tripod.Finally, I found that my cell phone flopped on the tripod. There is a screw that tightens the cell phone so that you can afix into a specific angle, but this does not hold. This is a flaw in design because if it can't hold the weight of my cell phone, it certainly won't be able to handle a large camera.I returned and will try another brand. Very disappointed... other than the bad grip attachment and screw that releases, I had high hopes for this product. Do not recommend.
