By far, my new favourite clamp light!
This is my new workhorse for table clamp lighting! The Luxsure 10” Ring LED Light with clamp stand and phone holder has turned out to be my favourite light for working on projects and also playing board games at my table. There are few things that I really like about this light, starting with the articulating spring-loaded arm. It clamps quickly, easily and very securely to my table. It is great because it is easy to move around and position the ring light where I want, and in the angle that I need. The phone holder is also fantastic because it mounts the phone in the center of the ring instead of out front of the light, where it would otherwise cast a shadow. A great feature of the phone holder is that it is also quite manoeuvrable, easy to rotate into just about any position.Occasionally, I make instructional videos with my hands to manipulate various products on my table, and used to run into limitations with my old setup whereby the light and phone holder were too close to the table for larger items, the light was on a vertical rod that always got in the way, plus the added shadow effect of the phone holder. This clamp arm light with its cell phone holder fixes all of that! I can position the light more than high enough up for the bigger items, and because it’s on an articulating arm that hangs out over the table, nothing gets in the way of my hand motions. I like the simple in-line controls that are part of the ~6’ USB power cord (must include your own USB power source). About 2’ of the cable gets used up when running it along the spring arm, in the cable management hooks, leaving about 4’ left to run to the USB power source. The only improvement that I’d make is to make the USB cable 10’ instead of 6’ – a trivial thing. – See pictures.I happily recommend the LUXSURE 10” Ring Light with Clamp and Phone Holder. 5 stars from me!
