I have had issues with my tv and some of the remote's buttons weren't responding. Finally decided to try out one of these replacement remotes and couldn't be happier. It worked immediately out of the box. We didn't have to put in any type of setup code. It is working properly and is so much more responsive than my last original remote control. Great price. Extremely happy with it. Before this, we had started using the roku remote on our phones as a substitute due to the poorly functioning previous remote, but this has solved everything. It's nice when things work properly.

I'm going to say that the remote wasn't great but I'm also going to say that my roku tv was an older model. I had problems with my tv and streaming as well so honestly I don't know if the remote not functioning well was just my tv fault. I have bought another new roku tv and have no more problems with my streaming service but haven't tried this remote since I have one that came with the tv.

I've never written an Amazon review before, but I feel compelled to let people know how terrible this remote is. I had to buy it as a replacement when my last Roku remote started doing the squealing battery thing (it's apparently super common, you can easily Google that this is a known issue). Anyways, I bought this remote and it came quickly, I think it took maybe a day to arrive, so that was great.

It came wrapped in a tiny bubble Ziplock style bag. It worked, but just barely. You have to be about a foot in front of the TV for it to actually pick up the remote signal. There have been times when I'm standing right in front of the TV hitting a button and it won't go through for several presses. The entire right side of the remote seems "sticky" in that the buttons on that side tend to not work work until multiple presses.

After using it for about a week, it is just a broken pain in the butt. The downloadable Roku remote app you can get for your phone is less of a hassle than this thing is. Returning it in hopes of finding a better remote, but this one is absolutely the worst remote I've ever used.
