I had to reset some porcelain travertiney tile in my patio due to the uncoupling media originally used (pea gravel) fostering roots beneath the tile. The tile is no longer manufactured and is a hair off the patterns found on real travertine, so I had to reuse the existing tile. I shattered one tile and cracked a second one in half during the delicate process of removing the existing modified mortar. After choosing a suitably unnoticeable location for the broken tiles, I proceeded to repair the cracked tile with 2 part epoxy. This didn’t hold up to installation stress, and with limited drying time left on my mortar, I decided to quickly super glue the puzzle pieces of the shattered tile back together. This, surprisingly, held in less than a minute. After taking about 5 minutes to square up the wet mortar, the shattered tile endured the stress of pressing into mortar, wiggling, and even tapping with a rubber mallet. I’m quite impressed.
I cleaned the mortar and managed to wire brush the 2 part epoxy off the second tile with a single crack, and was able to attach that tile with this ceramic super glue. Even if the glue fails over time, which it doesn’t seem it will, the mortar now holds the tile exactly together. Since my grout was the same as the tile base color, I floated some grout over the shattered and cracked tile and honestly it’s hard to tell they were ever broken.
This ceramic super glue got me out of a jam. The fact that this two pack was priced lower than the “premium” brand at my local hardware store is icing on the cake.

Within 20 seconds of putting two parts together, you can tell it's starting to set. You can still adjust parts, but it takes a little effort if the parts are flatter with a fair amount of contact area between them. Within 40-45 seconds, I couldn't pull the plastic parts loose. The ceramic felt similar, but I went ahead and sprayed it with some cure accelerator to make sure it was fully cured so I can reinstall that broken tile tonight.
I like this style bottle that has a metal pin that keep glue for drying in the top of the applicator. For good measure, I always wipe the end of the applicator and tap the bottle on the table to remove any glue from the tip. I also CA in the fridge with the bottle upright. Doing this means I can usually have a bottle of CA that still cures even after I've had it several years.
This was an excellent value as well. For the cost of 50g in this purchase, I'd only be able to get .32g at the big box store.
