Very happy with the phone holder! It adjusts I decided and up and down better than any I've seen. I would definitely recommend it. Only downside is that if you want your phone to be lower than the dash it might interfere a little bit with your Entertainment center screen.

Great GPS mount for the 4Runner

I don't want to stick my garmin to the windshield and have the wires hanging through my field of vision, nor do I want it on the dash and have the same problem. A CD slot mount seemed like an excellent option. I tried another brand and found it flimsy and too much vibration when i drove. It also didn't have a lot of positioning options once mounted. This is perfect.

I can now have my GPS exactly where i want it. Doesn't block anything that I need access too. Sure it takes up the cd slot, but I have never used it anyway. The part that mounts in the slot is very solid and there is no vibration at all when driving. It isn't in my eye-line like it was when sitting on the soft mount on the dash, nor is it sitting too low and to the side like it was when I tried to use a small suction cup stuck to the console. The current placement also places the microphone in just the right spot - I don't have to shout at it when using voice control.

It comes with a holder for a phone, which I don't use because the garmin is already set up for a ball mount. It also comes with a vent mount which seems to work fine. Also won't be using that. Maybe pass them along to a friend for holding her phone.

More expensive that the one I previously bought (and returned) but certainly worth the little extra. Better quality construction and infinite positioning ability.

Item was as described but neither option will work with my 2015 GMC Sierra SLT. CD slot is recessed and holder is not able to slip into cavity to secure properly and tightening nut hits volume knob. Gear shifter and blinker lever don’t allow for vent holder option. Otherwise appears very sturdy and well made. Wish it would get flagged for the vehicles it does not work with. Would likely give 5 stars if it worked for me

It fits perfectly with my Garmin DriveSmart 76 and very stable when turning and over the bumps, no shaking, I bought this because my technician told me don't stick anything on the dash because, in the long term, the dash will be damaged, and very expensive to replace/repair and my old mount didn't stick well so bought this and tried it out...

There is one thing, if your car has the hazard light button above the CD player slot (check out 02), it will be covered when you mount the GPS and very hard to access in case of emergency, but if your car's hazard light is elsewhere, not like mine then you will be fine

*My CD slot is on the top of the screen, so very easy to install and use this mount, but not recommended if your CD slot is at the bottom (usually above the 12v socket) or near the shifter.

I've tried out many phone holders in my cars and never found one that checked all the boxes. This one seems to.

I just bought a 2021 Acura and was surprised that it had an in-dash CD player - something that I wouldn't use. So when I was looking for phone holders this one caught my eye since it could be mounted using the CD slot, but what was really appealing was the fact that it was so adjustable. I was looking at another holder that utilized the CD slot but I was concerned that it would block my lower in-dash screen. This one appeared to not have that problem so I went for it.

The adjustability of this is great. I use the CD slot and was able to easily adjust the phone cradle so that it would not obstruct anything important. I saw that it also came with an alternate mounting mechanism - that being an attachment that would be used to mount it on an air vent. The CD slot worked best for me although after trying out the air-vent mount it seemed to be way better than any similar holders I've used in the past.

If I have one complaint it's that this holder rattles a bit - but only when there is no phone attached to it. When the phone is there it's quiet, although it does shake a little. I noticed that mentioned in a prior review but when you think about it, it has to have some give to it - for the same reason that skyscrapers sway in the wind.

So once the phone is mounted it's not going anywhere and it's held in place very securely, which is what we all want.

Whether you have a in-dash CD player or plan to mount this on an air vent, it's a great choice.
