Jack of all trades, master of none.
To it's credit, this panel excels at being good, but not great, at everything I need it to be. It's an indispensable tool when I work from home, the 4k resolution makes working with 3 or 4 Word documents opened simultaneously a breeze, but, in the morning, when the sun is bright, I hardly can see a thing. After work, it becomes my TV and, again, the 4k res and good colours are a treat, but the HDR feature is useless. It looks like they are tarnishing the whole to make some spots pop... And you lose the vibrancy. The build feels flimsy, the stand is restricting and the ports are wobbly, but it works, although I elected to install a wall-mount for more flexibility.I wish they included a USB-A hub, USB-C pass-through charging/video output for my mac and a standard C13 power cord with an internal power supply, instead of the included cable.

The one I got has no bad pixels. The color display is accurate, it can be adjusted to the same as my MacBook built-in, you just need time to play with settings. The display control menu is pretty advanced. Under 4K input, this monitor didn't have any problem that I can complain about.
Some small downside: Built-in speaker is so-so. OnScreen control function for this monitor only support Windows!!! No Mac compatible software on the official website. I got the macOS version application but it said my monitor doesn't support adjustment... For Mac user, the OnScreen control software can only help you divide screen to multiple sections, which is pretty awesome feature if you'd like to display several windows at a time.
Anyway I'd rate it 80 out of 100 at this price!

I had high hopes for this. Reviews were good and LG is a reputable brand. Unfortunately the viewing angles are atrocious. And the colors are washed out. I tried looking up some guides on how to fixed washed out colors, such as changing nvidia control panel to set the color range to full 0-255 bit, but that was already the default. Tried decreasing gamma a bit with windows calibration, no help.
I am 2 feet away from the monitor. The picture I attached shows the same gray box across the screen. Notice the boxes on the right and left are more washed out than the center ones. This defect is isn't a calibration error, it's a defect of the panel being VA. VA panels have poor viewing angles. I did research beforehand and some people said they can still look good but they are wrong here. The more the angle away from the area you are looking, the worse it looks. VA also has less accurate colors. Superior contrast doesn't help. I am always getting a IPS panel from now on.
