First and foremost, the 29-inch IPS display delivers stunning visuals with Full HD resolution, bringing our designs to life with crisp detail and true-to-life colors. Whether we're working on intricate 3D designs, delicate wax carvings, or precise laser engravings, every detail is rendered with stunning clarity and accuracy.
The UltraWide aspect ratio provides ample screen real estate, allowing us to multitask effortlessly and view multiple design elements side by side without compromise. This has significantly streamlined our workflow, enabling us to work more efficiently and bring our visions to fruition with ease.
The monitor's fast 5ms response time and smooth 75Hz refresh rate ensure seamless motion handling, minimizing motion blur and ghosting for fluid visuals, especially when working on animations or dynamic design projects.
We also appreciate the AMD FreeSync technology, which synchronizes the monitor's refresh rate with our graphics card's output, eliminating screen tearing and stuttering for a smoother, more immersive viewing experience.
In addition to its outstanding visual performance, the LG UltraWide monitor boasts a sleek and modern design that complements any workspace. The slim bezels and minimalist stand maximize screen space while adding a touch of elegance to our studio.
Overall, the LG UltraWide 29WP500-B Monitor has exceeded our expectations in every aspect. Its exceptional visual quality, seamless performance, and thoughtful design have truly elevated our workspace and empowered us to push the boundaries of creativity. If you're looking for a monitor that will take your design work to the next level, look no further than the LG UltraWide 29WP500-B. It's a game-changer for any jewelry, 3D design, and crafting business.
A few things I love about this display.
- Matte display
- USB-C for ThunderBolt enable devices (MacBook with M1, M2 or M3)
- Supports up to 100hz
Overall I don't think there is any much to complain for this $200 CAD UltraWide display.
Strong recommend!
Extra wide screen is awesome
The sound works for most games, I have played with so far.
I get No Audio playing FATE.
Other than that, it’s fire

I am not disappointed in this monitor, but I also knew what I wanted and wasn’t expecting more than I got, which is what seems to be going on in a lot of negative reviews. This is not a 4K OLED screen: it’s a 1080p, IPS monitor. Being IPS, it suffers from the light bleed and contrast issues that all IPS monitors have. That’s fine. It’s not 4K or even 2K… it’s a 1080p screen and, with HDMI, I can get 2560x1080 at 75 or 100Hz, whereas I’m limited to 60Hz over DisplayPort, (probably a limitation of my old MacBook’s use of DisplayPort 1.1). Also, if your computer's using an older version of DisplayPort, you need to manually select which version you’re using in the monitor’s on-screen menu, otherwise it’ll just tell you there’s no input detected.
Mine’s also got a dead pixel that showed up about three months after I bought it, but I can’t rule out that it wasn't caused by me, and it’s just one pixel so it’s not particularly noticeable. The built-in speakers are actually pretty good, too! I normally use a Bose speaker system, but when I hooked this up my audio defaulted to the monitor’s speakers and, for a couple of hours, I didn’t even notice the difference. It has surprisingly good sound!
It comes with a stand, but I didn’t bother with that; I have a dual-monitor VESA desk mount and used that instead (the monitor doesn’t come with mounting hardware but VESA-compatible screws usually come with the mounts and, if they don’t, are easily found).
So, yeah… it does well for what I use it for, which is work, remote meetings, and some gaming. No Man’s Sky and Flight Simulator look amazing in 21:9 — especially with “HDR Effect” turned on — and having two web browsers or Word documents open side-by-side feels un-cramped, versus on a regular 16:9 screen where neither can be entirely “full-size”. It’s a solid, usable, *BUDGET* UltraWide and as long as you keep that in mind, I’d recommend it. If you’re looking for a high-performance screen with immaculate color reproduction, er… keep looking.
Oh yeah… please forgive the absolute disaster of a desk I have in the included image.
