There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
My one annoyance with this monitor is that it does not automatically detect new signals when plugging in a device the way I have seen on other monitors. If you switch setups a lot (e.g. personal and work device, gaming console), it can be a bit of a nuisance to always have to switch over manually and go through the whole menu.
This will tide me over for gaming until OLEDs become a bit more accessible, and will be a fantastic work monitor beyond that for sure.

Never and i mean never will i buy a lg product again !!!!!!!!!!
The monitor worked fine on the first day of use, but after a while I noticed a flickering effect on the screen when I exited outside of games. Gradually the problem became worse, so much that it began to flicker rapidly every time it ran on 60hz which happens on the home screen and most games.
I called LG and did some research online and found out that it is a problem in that only a firmware update can fix (if it can).
Long story short, do not buy if you plan on using it for consoles.
End result of the purchase, returned and disappointed.

The LG 27GP95R works great using a USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable connected to the MacBook Pro, which supports running at 4K@95Hz through a Razer Chroma dock. macOS is able to scale everything to "look like 1440p", but with the additional sharpness of 4K. Colors look good and text is sharp.
My gaming laptop has a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort, so I can use the same cable to run at 4K 144hz. It's a slightly older computer though, so I have to run games at 1080p, but they still look great. 1080p scales evenly into 4K, so I find that the graphics still look good.
Since the 27GP95R is a regular LCD panel, colors aren't going to be nearly as vibrant as OLED or miniLED monitors, but everything still looks much nicer and crisper when compared to a generic office monitor. The viewing angles are good, text looks sharp, and the high refresh rate is amazing for gaming.
My favorite thing is the actually look / build of the monitor. Really cannot understate this one. Finding an unbranded front minimalist bezel is fairly rare, at least it was when I was shopping for one. I cannot stand seeing an added frame / bezel just to include a company logo. This monitor looks really clean.
The display quality is decent but takes some adjustments and messing with the settings to get the most from it. The brightness to colors can be vibrant and well-saturated, making games look nice. But I wouldn't use this for super detailed photo or video work. I have an older monitor purely for work, running at 60hz and it gets brighter and shows a deep black on images.
Biggest drawback, by far: flickering where the screen goes completely black for about a quarter of a second then immediately comes back. During games this would occur roughly every hour or so. I did an absolute ton of testing with the monitor's setting, nVidia (3070 ti), Windows 11, etc to find the right settings to stop it while still retaining the highest level of detail & frames...
Got new DP 1.4 cables, matched frame rates, tried endless setting adjustments, separated cables in-case of interference, kept the room cold as hell in-case of overheating... honestly I could go all day with the things I tried. In the end, turning off Overclock (thus reducing from 160Hz to 144Hz) was the only thing that stopped the flickering on/off from about every hour to rarely during a game. Doing this unfortunately introduce some character model ghosting in certain games, it's minimal but if you're playing FPS games you might want to avoid this monitor.
