It unrolled perfectly (it really does take two people until it...the little instruction sheet doesn't lie), and basicallylay flat right away. This is the next morning in the photos (12 hours later), and it's perfectly flat.Just holding it in the photo so you can see the texture.Chairs roll nicely on it.I recommend it (though let's see how well it holds up).

...and I would have to agree. It's a thing of beauty, crystal clear and butter smooth on the underside and classily textured on top. It's thick and screams quality. It arrived rolled up, and flattened out nicely; I left it on a bed with books weighing down the corners for a while but I don't think that was necessary as it is fairly malleable rather than stiff. It slides around on the ground from everyday use a bit but not overly so... such is the nature of these mats.

After spending $300 on a gaming chair for my husband I was horrified to see that most hardwood floor chair mats carry a hefty $40 price tag. If you're going to pay $40 for a piece of plastic, it might as well be this one.

Decent chair mat, not without drawbacks. It has a tendency to slide a little bit on my vinyl flooring. And it took a few days for it to go from slightly wavy to flat. Otherwise this is as good or better as any other similar mat out there. It's barely visible despite a textured surface, has good grip, and is very easy to clean.

The mat arrived rolled up and after many weeks of use still isn't perfectly flat, despite following the directions provided for this purpose. It is also holds a lot of static so any dirt/hair on the floor sticks to it and it is hard to get off. And it moves around a lot as I roll my chair over it. I have tried both sides with no improvement. These are likely standard issues with a product of this nature, thus overall I feel like this is a good product for the price.

I bought it for my office chair on the hardwood floor. Every time I rolled - I could hear hardwood floor surface cracking...
Not anymore - this floor mat did the trick!
It also looks great and stays flat, so you do not trip over it.
Some people were saying that it never flattened out - this was not my case - I left it under boxes on the floor for a weekend and it was fine by Monday.
I had concern that it would be too thin as it was so tightly rolled into shipping box, but I found it to be a perfect thickness- not too thick and not too thin!
I bought bigger size 46x58 following people's reviews and this size is just right - it fits under legs of my table and covers enough floor surface that when i roll around - i do not worry, if i am still on the mat or not.
Highly recommended!

Love the mat. I bought the 44 x 58 which is big enough for the office chair and leaves room to roll the chair without scratching the new hardwood floors.

It is clear and therefore, provides the same visibility of the floors while protecting them from scratches. I get the best of both worlds with this clear mat.

It requires heavy books to be placed on the edges and center to flatten it nicely.

Easy to unroll (followed instructions) let the product warm up before attempting to unroll. I had no issues, one person job, and was laying flat within 24 hours.

No issues with slip or movement ad reported in other reviews...I am sure a true hardwood floor is less slip resistant then a luxury vinyl floor.

Only tip would be opting for the larger size. I went for the smaller size as it's a small desk in our bedroom, but if limts your ability to roll around (as seen in picture)
