I was very excited to get this camera. However, after getting it, I am extremely disappointed (reasons why explained below in the cons section). Still deciding whether to return it or not.
Regarding the print quality, some people complain about it. However, let's be honest. Film technology is way better than Zink technology. Even the polaroid snap (which uses Zink technology) produces low quality prints when compared to Instax film cameras, for example. So, I would say that the prints are compatible with the technology this camera uses. However, the lens of the camera could've been better and this would reflect on the print quality.
Pros:
- Attractive price
- Modern Design (I personally love it)
- Nice size
Cons:
- The camera lacks some important features such as polaroid effect (add white border in the print), different light modes and timer.
- In general, the prints from instant cameras (either using film or Zink paper) are a bit dark. In the case of Kodak Printomatic, the prints are ridiculous darker. Some of the pics I attached I this review were taken in a very bright room and the prints are still super dark.
- The colour in the picture is washed out! Not vivid at all
- There is no user manual whatsoever. Couldn't find one even at Kodak's website.
- The shutter button is extremely sensitive. Even when holding the camera, one can accidentally take pictures. So far, I accidentally used 6 sheets while holding the camera. Bit hard to get used to it.
