Our oldest son gave this to our youngest for Christmas. This continues to be one of the most played with toys even a month after Christmas. Very simple toy, but gives a lot of Joy. The one pole has lost its reel and their has been some minor breaks here and there but for the amount of use this toy is receiving I would say its doing well. The toy is pretty expensive but I believe it is worth the cost.

My kids loved this and were playing with it almost everyday and this toy came to be the most used toy in their playroom. I bought it this January 2024. I had to throw it out today June 2024 as the magnets on the toy were falling off and my youngest was so close to swallow it if I haven't seen it.
The toy doesn't last long as if kids put it in the mouth some paint work on the fishes come off and the high risk of swallowing the parts that are easy breaking from the plastic pieces. It's a great toy for older children as they would not put it in their mouth or try to swallow.
I highly recommend not to use it with kids under 6 years old

I have toddler and a kindergarten child..

Got these for our 2 1/2 year old nephew. Think they would work for a significant range of developmental stages.

I figured the fishing pole might be a little too hard for a kid his age (too much fine motor control), but he did actually use it (in water) with a little help. For kids learning or already able to swim, they could be fun to go retrieve from around the pool.

He mostly enjoyed using the included nets to scoop the fishes out of the water from the steps of our pool. Everything floated well. You can easily pull them under the water, then release and they will sort of flutter up to the surface which gives a nice lively effect. The storage bag was super handy and even works as a net to scoop them up from the water when you're done playing.

I got the smallest set ("large"), and there was plenty of variety. They are brightly colored, with lots of different animals represented; although not exactly the ones that are pictured. The kid recognized some of the animals, some were new to him, and he definitely had a handful of favorites.

Not amazing quality, but it really didn't matter. The fishes each have a small phillips head screw in them which acts as the magnetic anchor; I tightened one that was slightly loose on arrival. Also had to re-tie the worm on the end of the fishing rod that came loose during play. Because of that I would recommend no unsupervised play with these, but we were doing that anyway because water.

Adults also had a little fun using the fishing rod in water while the kid played.

Overall, great fun for the price.

Für den Preis bekommt man hier wirklich ein tolles Angelspiel. Die Fische sind schön bunt und es sind genügend dabei. Am allerbesten gefallen mir aber die Angeln. Zum einen sind es zwei Stück - das ist super, gerade wenn man Geschwisterkinder hat. Zum anderen, und das ist der Grund warum ich mich für dieses Produkt entschieden habe: die Angeln sind "relativ" naturgetreu. Man kann die Ruten ausziehen und der Griff und die Kurbel ähnelem dem einer echten Angel. Außerdem macht sie beim einkurbeln auch Geräusche. Alles in allem also super.
Der Versand hat leider etwas gedauert... kam aus England. Aber das Warten hat sich gelohnt.

Leider haben es meine Jungs hinbekommen, die Angeln zu schrotten. Wobei genau genommen nicht die Angeln selbst, sondern der Köderwurm mit dem Magneten der ganz vorne dran hängt. Hier muss ich mir noch eine Reperaturmöglichkeit überlegen. Abgesehen davon, finde ich dieses Angelset super und würde es wieder kaufen.
