Amazing price, but may be harsh on eyes
This is amazing for this price. It has very high contrast which may be harsh for eyes. It has a joystick at the back of the monitor which is used to change monitor settings. I would recommend buying but you will have to spend a bit of time adjusting it to fit your needs. I am using the cool mode, with 22 brightness, 50 contrast and “Techless”s ICU (which you can find on YouTube)

I returned both MSI G272qpf and Dell G274D, and keeping this. This monitor is amazing!! It even has a the mode Freesync Premium that you can enable in the menu (THIS IS A BIG BONUS). Dell and this one is very comparable but I preferred this 27E3Q + hence the sale price at $259 this is a steal!

MSI on the otherhand has terrible black smearing and motion blur. Also blury and washed af

27E3Q I tested with UFO's tools and no dead pixel on arrival.

My only complaint is that it has a tiny bit of IPS glow since it's an IPS.
Colours are accurate. Super sharp. All blacks and greys are very spot on. I'm blown away honestly.

I give it 9/10. For price, quality, and features. I'm in shock how good this monitor is.

picture quality is fine, not many ways to adjust it I find. But for the price this is a good buy.
Reviewed in Canada on February 22, 2024
Size: 24inch/165hz/IPSVerified Purchase
Overview:
I've watched some reviews on this saying the base was terrible, or the color of the monitor was off. or it had issues ect ect, the base is steady I have no complaints. the color was actually very good out of the box especially the white balance. and the product comes with a 3 year manufacture warranty. it's possible to get a bad panel but I'm confident with that warranty.

Technical Information:
at 165hz you are getting 165 FPS. that means you are seeing a different frame every 5ms... the product states 1ms response time and that isn't true.. it's actually 4.5ms when tested and that's been proven on other video reviews.. however, that makes no difference because the 165HZ screen shows you a new frame every 5ms so it's a non issue... there is minimum to no ghosting it's on par with monitors 5x it's price. and the brightness is firmly in the comfort zone. not too bright that it hurts your eyes in the dark and bright enough to be effective in a well lit room. It's quite literally a perfect 165hz 24inch 1080p IPS monitor. Colors are NOT perfect.. mostly in the Red's, if you are a professional production specialist looking for color accuracy this isn't the reference monitor for you. it's also not marketed to that ether so I'm not faulting it for that.. for video games though this is really nice and the contrast level is unreal not just for the price but overall.. it was much better than my 4k TN monitor and at the time I thought THAT had great contrast.

USER or Use Case:
I was using a very good 4k 60hz 27 inch monitor but I found that the 60 fps was effecting my reaction time in FPS games. with the 165 fps I find a smoother game play and my response time is wear it should be. I also found that 27 inches was just a little to big for FPS games when you sit 3 feet from the screen. another benefit I noticed was that streaming services such as Prime, Crave, Netflix, and others do not allow 4k streaming on computers, this caused my experience watching them in Fullscreen on the 4k monitor to look very washed out. on the 1080 screen they look proper and sharp as that's the resolution the service provides them in. Lastly Games at 4k require a major Graphics card. my 3070 could just barely handle 60fps and often times would dip to the 40's and even 30's it made the experience not as enjoyable at 1080 and 165hz it's very smooth and takes a lot of load off my graphics card, in most of the games I play I don't really notice the resolution drop as 4k native resolutions have only been mainstream over the last 4 years..

Conclusion :

If you take FPS games seriously and you are sitting 3 feet from your monitor then a 24 inch 1080 resolution with a high refresh rate is optimal and this nails it. If you are worried about the cheep price or reviews saying they got a bad panel, Don't. buy one, if you get a bad panel get a replacement as they have a 3 year manufacture warranty. Koorui is also owned by the same company that makes all the Samsung Panels, you are getting the same quality Panel for much much less.

If you play mostly immersive games check out their 27 inch/1440 version of this monitor or the 32/4k version they are definitely punching above their weight class.

UPDATE : after a few weeks, I had to return it due to strange black squares flickering on the monitor. I took a video of it but it wont upload. I got a lemon but I would buy it again. it's a great monitor and the warenty covers things like that. there was no questions asked full refund.

Supports VRR and Freesync on Xbox Series X as well as PC use of course. Included DP cable, I actually also got the hexagon stand! Much happier as I knew it would take less space but wasn’t sure based on reviews saying hexagon whereas picture was the V shape stand.

Colour accuracy hasn’t been tested officially on my end but it was a tad off, nothing adjusting couldn’t remedy. Sharpness is fine, could leave a bit to be desired for some but I have no quarrel (no adjustment setting afaik). Very very near the left border, about 2/5 of the screen just a few cm from border is a tad lighter when the screen is fully black but again it’s a genuine non issue. If you know how these are sourced and what they do, you know what to expect, and its frankly exceeded my expectations.

Very happy with purchase so far, will update in future if any issue. Only weird thing I notice is some click noise occurs when the screen comes on or off when using premium adaptive sync. I didn’t notice if it was from the power cable brick or the actual monitor. All is well so far though. Not sure if thats just normal.

I bought 2 of these monitors on Prime day on sale and they are exactly what I was looking for. I am not a gamer but I do record and mix music at home and these are great to use for that purpose. The picture quality is really sharp and they are super easy to set up. They also have mounting holes in the back to use with monitor stands if you dont use the included stands. I dont know if these are good for gaming or not but for my needs these are perfect and are a great value. Highly recommended.

I was honestly expecting this monitor to be so bad that I would end up sending it back but that couldn't be further from the truth. I've been using a BenQ Zowie XL2411 and the change to this 27E3Q is like night and day. Blacks are actually black, everything is super sharp and clear, the colours pop more, literally everything is better.

One downside though is that it seems that you can only get the full 2k @ 170hz with a DP cable. HDMI is only giving me 2k @ 144hz max. But honestly most screens these days seem to be focused mainly towards Displayport, for better or worse.

If you're looking to upgrade from 1080p for cheap then look no further. I don't see how this monitor can even be sold for this price. It doesn't make any sense.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Display

The Koorui gaming monitor offers an exceptional display, delivering vibrant colors and sharp visuals that enhance the gaming experience. However, the base is somewhat large and lacks adjustability, which can be a minor inconvenience. This trade-off is understandable given the affordable price point, making it a great choice for us prioritizing a high-quality display.

Beautiful display with a great form factor. The whole thing assembles without any need for tools. It only came with a displayport cord but thankfully I had a spare adapter. I'll try an HDMI cable later and see if that solves the random frame drops at the bottom of the GPUs cycle.

5.0 out of 5 stars 27E3Q YES, YOU SHOULD BUY IT
Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2024

I ordered a monitor from Sceptre and received the wrong model. This led me to make a somewhat angry purchase but man did it pay off. Jumping the gun on a 1440p IPS display was so worth it. I am pleased, satisfied, and left wanting nothing more. Pros and cons below.

PROS:

- Really bright display. This is such a game changer when you constantly deal with dim gaming displays. Typically on a budget monitor you get 250cd/m2 but here you get 400cd/m2!!! The brightness is perfect for gaming, day to day use, brightly lit rooms, etc.

- Super Colorful Display: The colors on this screen pop like I've never seen. Everything is perfectly saturated. Nothing seems out of the ordinary. Everything you watch, read, play, will be enjoyed thoroughly guaranteed.

- Whites are actually WHITE: As you can see in one of the images I attached, My other monitor (HP 25x) provides yellowish whites while the 27E3Q provides a very natural and expected white.

- Not a single dead pixel on my unit!

- No annoying branding. One simple and almost invisible "KOORUI" in the center of the frame on the bottom. No extended pieces of plastic either. Just a rectangular unit as you would expect. Unlike the HP 25x which has an annoying chunk of plastic that extends out. This is more nitpicky obviously but it still counts!

- OSD (On Screen Display) is very easy to use. Its quick, to the point, no frills or gimmicks, and easy to read.

- Really nice stand! Although I used my own dual monitor mount, the stand is high quality, heavy duty, with tons of adjustability. (Rotate, side to side, height)

CONS:

- From the research I've done, if you leave the overdrive off you won't have a problem but, with it turned on you do experience some ghosting I believe. Haven't tested it myself but this is what I've heard. Not worried about it, I leave it off and thoroughly enjoy gaming.

- In all honesty, the only possible thing I can think of (and this is a real nitpick imo) is the edges of the display border. They could be a HAIR thinner. My HP 25x has a slightly thinner border (not the bezel/plastic frame). This monitor would have benefited greatly from a thinner border but I wouldn't worry about it. With all of the benefits (AFFORDABILITY) a border shouldn't even be close to a deal breaker.

Overall, amazing monitor. I will be purchasing another one soon!
