My granddaughter loves to draw and one day I saw her trying to trace something by taping it to a window so she could see the design to trace it. It thought that there must be something better to make it easier to trace her designs and discovered this KIVOTAC A3 Tracing Light up Box, LED Light Pad Ultra-Thin USB Powered Brightness Dimmable LED Tracing Board for Drawing and decided to order it.
Upon unboxing you are presented with the tracing light pad, USB-C cord (you provide the power block) and an instruction sheet.
The LED tracing light pad is powered by USB-C. The tablet is not rechargeable and has to be plugged in at all times to operate. The included USB-C cord is quite long and should be sufficient length for most users. The pad is dimmable and has an on/off control button that also acts as the dimmer switch. The pad has a memory feature that remembers the brightness level when you last turned it off and turns it back at that brightness level when turned on the next time. At full brightness the pad is quite bright and can easily shine through most items you are trying to trace. The top of the pad has x and y scale markings and the bottom of the pad has 4 rubber feet to firmly hold it in place on a table.
My granddaughter has used this tracing pad for several weeks now and just loves it. It is so much better than taping an image on the window and tracing it that way. She also loves doing diamond art and has found that placing the canvas on the tracing pad makes it much easier to see and position the diamonds on the canvas. If you have old photo negatives or slides it would also be a great way to view these.
Overall, this is a great item for the aspiring artist and makes tracing easy. Highly recommended.

Fantastic light box, perfect for quilt design work!
This light box is absolutely terrific for my purposes of quilt design. I have wanted one of these for a long time and put a lot of effort into researching the right one for my needs. I am so pleased to have found this one as it suits my purposes perfectly.It is very well constructed of excellent quality materials. It is super thin and beautifully lightweight which make it very easy to work with, and a cinch to take with you if you like to do your light box work in different locations, perhaps outdoors or while travelling. I like to do mine wherever I find inspiration so this is a big plus for me. Also, it is powered by a USB cord so you don't have to worry about finding an electrical outlet or worry about not having the right kind of electrical outlet when you are in another country. Plus, the USB cord is extra long which adds to its convenience.Having measurements right on the board is fantastic as that is a huge help in quilt design. I am absolutely thrilled that I no longer have to hold my block design graph paper up against a window (which only worked during the daytime, of course, so that was pretty limiting in addition to being awkward, clunky, and difficult.The lighting with this light box is even and bright and can be adjusted to your preference at any given time with the simple press of a button. The size of the work space at 30 cm by 42 cm (16.5 inches by 11.75 inches) is ideal, even ample.I am so very pleased with this light box and would certainly recommend it.
