This meter is as accurate as any basic meter in its price range and beyond. The temperature scale is good. The capacitor scale is OK. The resistance scale is in check. The display is large and the backlight functions nicely. I love the bonus Hz measurement thrown in there. It has a slightly cheap feel to it yet a good grip, soft body and the leads are OK. I will buy two more, add barrel jacks, and run them off wall-warts as semi-permanent bench meters. Great meter for the price point. You can't go wrong.Update: I bought another one.

This is a replacement multi meter for one that went missing from my shop. I was hesitant to purchase one that is lower priced vs. the previous one. I actually found this one to have more features & more intuitive functions than the higher priced MM I owned before. For someone who doesn't use these very often, I find it to be a great product. I read the reviews on it before I purchased it, so it wasn't a blind - uneducated purchase. Would recommend for the DIY'er, or a contractor. A strong magnet back would be nice to have, or a hook of sorts so when working on a vertical surface you have some way of holding it in place. - That's my only suggestion for improvement.

Even though the price is affordable this meter working like meters two to three times its price. I purchased it because the last meter (not this brand/model) I had died inside without warning. This one works as expected and since I use DC mostly this works better for me. If you probe AC mostly this meter may become annoying because it defaults to DC and I haven't found a way to set the default. So, I have tested capacitors with this and identified several that were marginal. I have tested continuity on several parts that I needed to verify were soldered correctly and I also performed live voltage readings. The meter shined in all cases. The only caveat I would give is that it isn't fast in offering the reading, but that is likely because when it does give the reading, it is accurate. Best meter I've owned so far IMHO.
