Their 'courtship' is inventive and so, so funny!

I absolutely loved Brand, I just hope I never meet anyone like him. He is a definite character, every surly arrogant inch invested in taking care of and claiming Jolie. Freaking adorable as he learns to embrace his newly minted Daddy Dom persona.

Jolie's insecurities manifest and interfere, creating problems which allow Brand to come to the rescue. She is such a sweetie, with a giant suitcase of misconceptions and untruths.

What a lovely story. Two unlikely people find love under the unlikeliest circumstances. Brand maybe a new daddy but he is catching on really fast even if he does go overboard at times. Jolie is learning to trust and she is so sweet as well as talented and maybe getting sick was the best thing that could happen to her strange as that may be. A fun read that will have you laughing out loud and warm your heart.

Having one of my favorite authors write a book for one of my favorite series is just the highest level of happiness. Jolie’s Little Fourth of July by Laylah Roberts is the newest book in the Rawhide Ranch series. I really enjoyed this book for so many reasons. This book showed my personal favorite aspect of a Daddy Dom/little dynamic - the Daddy taking care of and nurturing their little. Jolie let herself get run down and ended up very ill. Brand really stepped up and proved himself as the perfect Daddy for her. He was rough around the edges, and used to getting what he wants, but when it came to Jolie, he put her first. This story gave me everything - smiles, laughter, even a few tears as Jolie struggled with her insecurities. A well written story combining Ms. Robert’s impressive writing style with the wonders and magic of Rawhide Ranch. I honestly couldn’t ask for more.

Jolie’s Little Fourth Of July is the newest installment of the Rawhide Ranch series and is a complete standalone. I really enjoyed this one but I knew I would since it is from a favorite author of mine! Jolie is burned out and has fled to Rawhide Ranch to get some much needed time to herself. But Brand is worried about her and finds her. I love how he takes care of her when she falls ill. He was so sweet with her and was exactly what Jolie needed. This was a quick and sweet read and a great palette cleanser.

One of the better rawhide books to come out lately. Laylah Roberts is an automatic read for me. This has a little who arrives at rawhide and gets really sick. The rock star her band tours with is worried about her and tracks her to rawhide. Their journey starts here as they finally get the time and opportunity to connect. Good story.
