Definitely a good deal for under 50 bucks
It does everything advertised. It does extend really high, and I'm 6'3 so it impressed me. Great height for when I need to go over peoples heads walking by. My camera is a bit heavy though for the extender so I don't extend it fully, it gets a bit wiggly. I'm sure if you man handle it you could find a flaw with it, or break it. The nob you extended the neck with is like an old school Ford Focus twist nob they used to open car windows, a bit inconvenient, and can smack against the handle. Might just be the way I screwed everything on, isn't too big of an issue, just keep that in mind. This might not be a $100 tripod, but it's pretty sturdy and well built if you have a low budget (like me). You gotta put some strength into unlocking the leg locks. I thought I was going to break them but they are just really sturdy. It's a good thing, you don't want them loose and not lock. The main reason I really liked this tripod though is the weight hook on the bottom to make it even more sturdy. That will be great for all those thunder storms and getting stuck by lightning :) (sarcasm)
