Product description

The 1U universal 4-Post shelf rails are designed to support most Servers in a rack without the need to mount them directly. They fit standard 19", 23" and 30" 4-post racks, and both depth & width can be adjusted. The rails are made from cold rolled steel and finished with black power coating. They occupy 1 RU of rack space. M6 screws and cage nuts are included for mounting onto rack or cabinet.

These are pretty good for the money.

This rack is for those who have a very shallow (18inch) rack. I am using this personally for a 12U rack with only 18 inch depth.
Just remember that you will need to reserve a 1U (or 0.5U) right below it.

Price is right and quality is okay, however these do not fit a standard 29" rack without making some DIY adjustments.

Out of the box it will only work with two out of the four screws required on each rail. With only two screws in, the rail will sag pretty badly. I was able to get around this by drilling a new hole to allow for another screw to be inserted providing the required rigidity that I needed. For my use case, the item going on the rails isn't very heavy and everything looks good. If you are dealing with larger heavier equipment however I would suggest getting a trusted brand like Startech.

The support area of these rails drops down into the next U space. If you use only these rails, you might be ok, but they don't fit with other brands of rails that adhere to 19" rack spacings specs.

I got these shelf rails to support a custom shelf I made for Raspberry Pis and similar SBCs. Putting them together was straightforward and they're quite secure once installed. The length is quite flexible, allowing any size between their minimum and maximum, not just several discrete lengths. I would get more if I need an additional shelf.
