I recently purchased this privacy screen protector about 2 months ago. The first, the positive: installation was straightforward, and the full coverage design means the entire screen is protected, which is great for peace of mind.

However, I noticed that the screen protector is prone to scratching quite easily. Within just a few days of normal use, several noticeable scratches appeared. This is disappointing, especially for a product designed to protect the screen.

Another downside is the screen brightness. With the protector on, the display seems dimmer. This isn’t a huge issue in low-light conditions, but in bright sunlight, it makes the screen harder to view.

The privacy aspect, a key selling point, is a bit hit-and-miss. From direct angles, the screen is obscured as advertised. Yet, from certain off-angles, the screen contents are still visible. While it does provide some level of privacy, it’s not as effective as I had hoped.

In summary, the privacy screen protector offers coverage and some privacy protection, but the ease with which it scratches and the impact on screen brightness are significant drawbacks. If privacy is your main concern, it might be worth considering, but keep in mind the potential issues with durability and display clarity.

I’ve tested a lot of privacy screen protectors out over the years of working in tech, and this is my opinion on this product:

Installation:
Pretty easy. Came with the screen cleaning alcohol wipe, fabric wipe and dust remover sticker. I found the hinge sticker method unnecessary and just aligned the screen protector from the center and tapped it for a perfect installation.

Privacy:
I can still see the screen while it’s next to me (like I’m sitting next to someone on a bus and can see their phone next to me). Whether the screen’s at full brightness or dimmed, it’s still visible. It requires angling it 45°+ to activate the privacy filter, however if you’re stuck in a middle seat you’re sharing your screen with your other neighbour instead at that point.
When rotating your phone to landscape, the privacy filter disappears as expected.

Overall opinion:
For the price, it’s a decent first step towards a little more privacy depending on what your goals are. If you require complete privacy from snooping eyes, I’d recommend another screen protector.

Ich habe mir die Schutzfolie mit Antispy-Funktion für mein Smartphone gekauft und bin insgesamt ziemlich zufrieden damit. Hier sind meine Eindrücke nach einigen Wochen der Nutzung:

Vorteile:

Privatsphäre: Die Antispy-Funktion funktioniert hervorragend. Seitdem ich die Folie auf meinem Handy habe, kann niemand mehr von der Seite aus auf meinen Bildschirm schauen. Das ist besonders praktisch in öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln oder in Cafés, wo man oft neugierige Blicke abbekommt.

Bildqualität: Trotz der Antispy-Funktion bleibt die Bildqualität nahezu unverändert, wenn man direkt auf den Bildschirm schaut. Farben und Helligkeit werden kaum beeinträchtigt, was bei anderen Schutzfolien manchmal ein Problem sein kann.

Einfache Anbringung: Die Anbringung der Folie war unkompliziert und blasenfrei. Die Anleitung war klar verständlich und die mitgelieferten Hilfsmittel (Reinigungstuch, Staubentferner) haben gut funktioniert.

Nachteile:

Blickwinkel: Ein kleiner Nachteil der Antispy-Funktion ist, dass der Sichtwinkel auf den Bildschirm eingeschränkt ist. Wenn man das Gerät auch nur leicht zur Seite neigt, wird der Bildschirm sofort dunkler und schwerer lesbar. Das kann manchmal störend sein, wenn man das Gerät in verschiedenen Positionen nutzen möchte.

Fingerabdrücke: Die Folie neigt dazu, Fingerabdrücke stärker sichtbar zu machen. Man muss den Bildschirm öfter reinigen, um ihn sauber und klar zu halten.

Preis: Im Vergleich zu normalen Schutzfolien ist die Antispy-Funktion etwas teurer. Allerdings finde ich, dass der Preis für den zusätzlichen Schutz der Privatsphäre gerechtfertigt ist.

Fazit:
Die Schutzfolie mit Antispy-Funktion bietet einen hervorragenden Schutz der Privatsphäre, ohne die Bildqualität erheblich zu beeinträchtigen. Sie ist einfach anzubringen und bietet eine solide Schutzfunktion gegen neugierige Blicke. Der eingeschränkte Blickwinkel und die Anfälligkeit für Fingerabdrücke sind kleinere Nachteile, mit denen ich gut leben kann. Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden mit dem Kauf und kann diese Schutzfolie jedem empfehlen, der Wert auf seine Privatsphäre legt.
