Ordered on the 1st. It’s now the 8th. Can’t wait to hear this bad boy and when I do I’ll change my review drastically upwards I’m sure.I’ve always trusted JBL, have used professionally all my life. One of the best speakers for Home Sound Systems, the Recording Studio, Guitar and Bass Speaker Cabinets, Headphones and Ear Buds and much much more. They have been doing it for about 50 years and are considered one of the best audio speaker manufactures in the world. Now my review……Awesome on so many levels! It’s the little engine that did.Physicality1) It feels great in the hand. You can tell right away that it is made to last.2) Attention do detail and the materials used.3) Nothing to easily get broken, all controls, Power On/Off, BlueTooth, Play are flush.4) Dropping the device won’t mean you will need repairs.Sound1) Sounds great. At least a hundred times better sound quality than your phone, tablet or laptop.2) JBL has manage to create and develop the GO3 that has an extraordinarily sound spectrum regardless of the style/genre of music.3) If you want to rattle the windows this is not for you, go out and buy a 15” or 18” folded bass cabinet.4) Put it next to your bed on the bedside table and you’ll think you’re there in the third row. Very realistic sound and most importantly a very balanced sound spectrum. Does not sound artificially coloured like many other small portable speakers.5) The audio presents itself very well. Music/sound emanates from both sides of the device giving it a wide dispersion field. Don’t know if it uses dual speakers or a single bidirectional or omnidirectional speaker. If single, JBL have come up with some very clever algorithms. I’m assuming there are two because of the weight of the GO3.6) Physical design is key to making a product that takes advantage of its surrounding environments it will be used in. The GO3 has a large rubber base with an excellent contact profile. Because of this, placing the GO3 on different surfaces like coffee tables with a glass surface, bedside tables or an empty cardboard box. You won’t have to do any of these things as th GO3 has such a big sound.In conclusion, an excellent device that checks all the boxes. Sound quality, sound quantity, the build, the way it feels and most importantly the balance of frequencies. Bass is very clear and clean. The mids and highs have lots of presence, you can even hear the singer breathe between lyrics depending on the genre of music you’re listening to. Everything is balance to give you a faithful reproduction of the original recording.You can’t go wrong with the GO3. You’ll want to take it everywhere you go.
