I've had this for about 6 months now, the battery life is still fantastic. I think I charge this once a week and I use them 5 days a week. The noise cancelling is certainly sufficient enough to be able to tell the difference. It's not the greatest noise cancelling, but for the price it reduces a lot of sound, especially on public transit, such as the sound of the car driving.
However, if you spend a lot of time around very loud sounds, I don't think this is sufficient. When the train I'm or a nearby train breaks, the noise cancelling instead produces a very loud uncomfortable sound in the headest trying to compensate. I can't imagine you wearing headphones often on a construction site, but if you do, this isn't the pair.
TLDR: Great battery, fulfills needs of everyday life. Im not audio snob but its pretty good from what I can tell. The over ear cups may be on the smaller side if you have large ears, but for me they are just fine.
