Installation is easy. Images and ⁰video are very clear in full daylight. Night vision is good. Control for dection areas and alarms is available. Optional plans for recording video are reasonable. Wifi allows you to check alerts and general surveillance from phone or laptop with the app. I am happy with my results.

Easy to install and we had it up and running in no time. Easy to use and has good resolution and range. We love the product and very happy with it thus far. We purchased the plug-in version and so far it's working well in -5 degree celcius temperatures. Highly recommended if looking for simple, inexpensive system.

Took awhile to set it up only because we have to ensure this is plugged in and high enough that no one can unplug it! It’s easy to download the app and pair with the device. The only annoying thing is it will send you notifications even when there is a spider web on it lol. You might want to turn notifications down because they come in for everything!

I have the full Ring products at home so this is an added device. I installed this for added security in the garage. I am able to remotely check the garage with it and also dial into it to speak with someone in the garage without the need to walk. The video and audio quality is par with the rest of the Ring products. As expected.

Bought this to compliment our ring door bell camera. This one we use on our garage to capture what front door camera can not catch based on the shape of our home. Installation and set up were easy. Certainly had enough power cable to enable me to run into our garage attic to a power supply. Came with cable ties to keep secure. All well thought out. We were able to adjust viewing angle and capture a very wide angle. Speaker and microphone work well. Set up on app was relatively easy. We definitely feel more comfortable with this second camera now. Chose white version hidden against the white aluminum soffit above it. Great view at night.

Very good video quality, easy installation. I installed it on the wall above my garage. But the USB cable attached to the back of the camera is exposed, thefts can easily see it and cut it. This is a very stupid design.

I purchased 2 spotlight cams in July 2023 ; installation was easy and straight forward. In October, after about 3 months' use, one unit could not connect to the Ring network. Ring service team was helpful and walked me through multiple attempts to trouble shoot and restart, but to no avail. So they indicated a replacement unit would be shipped in a week, which did not arrive. In Oct 2023 I followed up with Ring, and then the service desk indicated that the shipment either went to a wrong address or could not be confirmed so considered "lost in transit", and another unit will be shipped within 5-7 business days. Two days later I got an email from Ring indicating the model was out of stock and was expected to be shipped in 6 to 8 weeks. I called support again, asking why Amazon.ca has stock in inventory to sell but I could not get a replacement. Ring indicated that the warranty replacement would come from Ring factory, not from stock at Amazon, and they themselves actually have no update as to an expected date when stock would arrive. So the malfunctioned camera has been working only as a decoy until Ring can replenish their in-house stock. I think the after sales service could use some improvement. Something for people considering this product to be aware of.

Jan 02, 2024 update - I called customer service again, this time the call center agent indicated an equivalent unit would be shipped to me within a week. And I received am email from Ring indicating the replacement order number.

Jan 08, 2024 update - failing to receive anything, I called Ring customer service again. This time I was told that there actually was no stock available and they had no shipping date available and within their customer service organization they had no path of escalation to reach someone who could do something about the situation. Instead, a one-month monitoring subscription was offered as compensation for the wait time now approaching 3 months, which I turned down.

How can an Amazon company allow such delay tactic be used on its customers? And instructing customer service not to allow customer escalation is totally inacceptable.

Would I recommend buying a Ring product at this point?

I bought two of these for my property. Pretty easy install depending on your power availability and Wifi of course. They work very well. Another great RING product from my point of view. Ive had them going for almost two months now .. I will be buying one more when another sale comes up
