Okay I've been using the X2 once or twice a week for the past 2 months. Mostly for skiing, some car stuff, but mostly skiing.
The pros:
1) Small, compact, and easy to use. I can operate it in the freezing cold with my ski gloves on which has been a huge plus for someone who skis where it's regularly -20C. the screen is easy to navigate and if you set it correctly, it's just a quick button hit to start & stop.
2) The Battery - not to drop names, but my other action camera would die in the freezing cold or if it was running at full steam in the sun within 3-5 minutes. This thing? No problem. I've shot 10+min long timelapses in freezing weather and the thing is fine. It's seriously impressive. This was my biggest worry.
3) The durability. I've whacked it on trees (wouldn't recommend), dunked it in snow and dropped it onto a cliff off a chairlift (whoops! I'm an idiot). The thing has survived it all. I've broken and fixed the pole more often than the camera. My skis are more banged up than this thing, and they've never seen a rock before.
The Cons:
1) The videos take a long time to edit. I do it on my phone because the phone app is much better than the computer app. I have experience with video editing so it's not too too hard, but I can see it being challenging for some. Going into 360video though, you should expect to spend more time on editing than regular videos. There are way more possibilities with 360 post-process reframing, but it will take time.
2) When in low light, stills from videos will not be that crisp, and you should expect that. The stills from videos in bright light are fantastic (seen in the last 2 photos posted) but low light isn't GREAT.
Overall - I would 100% recommend. It's an incredible little camera and for the price it can't be beat!

It takes a while to learn the editing software. Helps if your phone has lots of extra memory as the videos take a lot of room once you edit them and transfer. The videos are really cool and the unit is sturdy as it fell off my motorcycle one already and was fine.

I got it during prime day as they had a really good sale. The camera is very fun to use and extremely easy to make content with. I brought it on a trip and the videos I was able to get with it where amazing. Due to the videos being 360, when exported as a normal video, the quality is not very detailed, so I wouldn't replace my normal camera with it, but some shots I am unable to get with my normal camera. Plus, the 360 video helps ensure everything is in the shot so I never miss a moment. The app is also super easy to edit in which makes exporting content for social media stupid simple. Would definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting to dabble in 360 photography.

This is a very nice camera but unfortunately I cannot seem to find support from them in Canada. It’s seems hard to be able to get in touch with them and there doesn’t seem to be a lot of videos out there on other platforms were troubleshooting is addressed. A lot of the videos are fun to watch but when you are stuck with something that you do not know how to do as it is a little bit of an advanced camera it’s just hard to get information or help. Other than that it’s great and I love the 360 feature but I hope that I am able to find the answers to the questions I have in terms of troubleshooting. If Insta 360 wants to sell to Canadians and get their business as they have with me, they really must provide technical support customer service to their customers.

The camera itself is fantastic, great picture quality, solidly built, plenty of accessories, pretty easy to use and intuitive.. love that it blurs out the selfie stick, makes for some wild videos/pictures that leave people scratching their heads, although it sometimes leaves a very visible line where it tries to 'stitch' the video together and somewhat ruins the shot.
The app (iOS) on the other hand, is borderline unusable at times, it's crashed many times on me, takes forever to render videos, has a steep learning curve, the AI doesn't always allow you to move the view as you'd like, forcing you to make multiple view point changes to get the desired effect. It's a real pain in the nuts at times.. Not to mention their PC software is hidden behind a paywall and I couldn't get the free version to work, despite having a powerful gaming PC.
I wish editing didn't use AI all the time, I want to be able to manually pan the camera and do things without AI analyzing and doing it for me.
Do your homework, look up many videos on how to use the app and the camera is worth it. That goes for all 360 cameras, but especially so ANY Insta360 ones..

I have calmed down after receiving the camera last week but only just !
The camera is clearly very clever and lots of projects to explore. However if you want to get really irritated just follow the tutorials and the only video you want to line up is a video of the camera being smashed to dust with a massive sledge hammer , it is that frustrating. It is clear app is unstable as it keeps crashing especially on iPad. Seems ok on phone though. However once you start reading the tutorials you will end up irritated as previously explained. It is clear the instructions have been written by geeks who know the camera too well and cannot relate to starting out with the camera and the associated assumption of some knowledge which none of us have as we did not build it. i would love to meet one of the geeks and share them till they exude an iota of common sense which would take longer than anyone has time for. Best advice I can give is to go very slow and slowly try some of the easier effects and see if you can find any advice online not written by the manufacturers.
