Crispiest thermal on the market for smartphone
Full features overview, RattlesnakeRCandhobbies on YT. Such a amazing unit, this thing picks up heat signatures for over 1km, ideal for hunting or even search and rescue. The app is a bit slow. Vid attached shows a rabbit at about 20m away, first through a window screen (which it worked through!) then I took the screen off. The clarity is amazing, and might be even better with a newer phone. Of course, the FOV is much smaller than its competitors. Its ideal use range is anywhere between 100m and 400m, its pretty grainy after that. I wish these things could be easily mounted to DJI drones! 4 stars because of the app and FOV, its pretty narrow

I have Android 9, 3GB ram 8core phone and I keep getting "The search pulled out" all the time. HD works for a second and switches off. After 180 degree flip it looks fine on the screen but saved pictures and videos all upside-down. On another phone with android 10 and Tablet Android 13 getting "USB authorization failed" so couldn't even test it. Temperature readings are wrong. Showing boiling water +32 Celsius. Room temperature is +4 ( which is +20 at least ). If you move to fast - "The search pulled out". Really annoying. Especially outside when you trying to follow an animal. Camera itself looks solid, no complains. but if software doesn't work it's kinda useless. Maybe one day it will improve but don't wana bet $500 on it.

This product exceeds my expectations, though im new at the "thermal scene" and this is the first thermal camera that I own. Makes a huge difference in identifying wildlife at night (video of cat is taken at night) , and can also be used in industrial applications, home inspections, etc.
I did not have issues connecting this device to my phone, but some android phones may need to set up OTG before using it if they have issues. ( setting usually found when enabling developer options).
I wanted to set it up in my car so that I can see deer and other animals while driving at night, but obviously it wont work that way because the car window reflects heat, so I can't use this device behind a window.
When I bought this, I was worried that I got scammed because alot of marketing posts are made by the seller, but it is definitely worth the price.
