It is not mentioned anywhere in the description that irig2 is now only works in ios. The amplitube apps on Google store and galaxy store are removed.I'll return it and want them to be clear with their customers.

Overall it’s a pretty simple device that allows you to connect a guitar to an iPhone or iPad. I found that using it with GarageBand resulted in a mildly frustrating issue of constantly losing monitor of sound when going back to record over a track. GarageBand was still picking up audio input but I couldn’t hear my guitar through the headset and I’d have to reopen GarageBand to regain monitor output. Could be that this is more an issue on Apple’s end?

I tried both Irig 2 and Irig 2 HD. If you can get afford, I recommend getting Irig 2 HD.

I got Irig 2 (not HD version) on Dec 3 and returned it on Dec 3. It was on sale when I bought it but trust me it is not worth it!

I tried using it with MacBook Air 2020 (Apple Silicon) and iPad (7th edition). I tried both AmpliTube and GarageBand.

The problem with AmpliTube is there is a constant buzz in the background. I read and watch about how to connect and use Irig 2 properly and even with all the recommendations, the buzz did not go away.
The problem with GarageBand is you cannot even say if that works at all. You get feedback from either computer speakers or your amp (if you connected one), but the feedback is most of the time delayed.

To sum, if you see Irig 2 HD is on sale (say $99), I recommend you go for that. I used that model and it worked great with both MacBook and iPad. And unlike Irig 2, the sound quality is so good!
