I purchased this microphone 3 years ago as the one on my PC cam was not working well and I had a few virtual meetings going on every week. From the moment I received it I felt it was a bit forward heavy but otherwise it was perfect for my needs. I had it set on the same position from the beginning and did not played around with the screw that supports the mic to its base. As virtual meetings tapered down, I started using it less and less and I put camera and mic away over a year ago and only used them once every month or two. All good until now that I noticed that the connection to the stand is broken (see pics). I am not surprised as I imagine that the piece is under a lot of stress with the weight.... This is a bit disappointing, hence the 4 stars. Happy with the microphone otherwise.

With its price tag you wouldn’t expect the greatest quality. I am pleasantly surprised. This mic doesn’t have the features you’d get in most mics but for what it does it’s an exceptional job. I really like hyper x’s idea in stripping down a mic to its basic purpose for budget friendly mics. I’ve had compliments of people who have 200 dollar mics and asking how much I spent on it. You’ll need a bit of software tweaking for stuff like streaming (equalizers compressors blah blah blah). I would 100% recommend this to my friends as a budget friendly mic. It doesn’t sound or feel cheap at all. The touch to mute is something I really love. I use a pop filter on this because it does pick up some background noise. The multi threaded mount makes it so much easier in picking a mic stand due to it supporting different kinds. All in all, good sound quality, mountability, easy to use, and durable (I’ve had this for over a year without damage). When I say durable I say this in the mindset of treating a mic properly. I have dropped this a few times had a water bottle leak on it and it surprisingly still works just as fine. Normally I’d ask for more features but I understand the purpose of keeping the price tag down. So for it’s purpose I rate this 19 compliments out of 5 vrchat buddies

Someone else mentioned this and I kind of agree. It has a red light for when you are unmuted and it blinks when muted. It would be so much preferable if the light was off when unmuted and red when muted since having a constantly on red light is just a bit... Distracting? Idk... Not a fan, but my webcam also has it... But the red light on this might is pretty large. That aside, the mic quality seems pretty good. I have it on a boom arm, the stand it comes with seems good in terms of adjustability but also it's shaky. The other thing worth noting is the cord sticks out of the microphone at the back pretty far and other people have had issues with the cord's connection it seems (I'm really hoping I don't!). I put it into my PC's USB and it told me the device might be malfunctioning which worried me, but then I realized that this needed a USB3.0 slot to work and now it is fine.

In summary:
Pros:
-Solid quality.
-A particularly great mute button.
-Somewhat professional, yet also affordable.
-Stand is adjustable.
-Fits boom arm fine.

Cons:
-Always on or blinking red light is distracting.
-Stand is shaky.
-Cable sticks out far at the back (and may or may not have other issues)
-Seems to require USB3.0 which you may or may not have available.

If you want a mic that does not cost like over a hundred dollars, overall this one doesn't appear like a bad choice. But I've only just gotten it and did some testing so I can't say how it will hold up with time.

It's probably overkill to buy a seperate mic just for voice calls but this mic genuinely makes me like hearing recordings of my voice because of how crisp and nice it sounds. If you're in a loud environment ofc like all mics it will pick up background noises, but it does a pretty good job of not picking up quiter sounds in my room.

I bought a 20 dollarm mic arm and that got rid of any keyboard pressing sounds and i can also bring it closer to my mouth for better sound quality. I like that there's a mute button on it, I know that seems obvious but the mic I had before this didn't have one and it's such a nice change. It doesn't come with a wind sock but I had my old mics wind sock, and I just tore a tiny hole on top to be able to mute the mic and it's been working great!

I definitely think it's a great buy, especially for those wanting to get started with content creation of any kind.
