Kingston make very good headsets and this one is no different. Build quality is about as good as you're going to get at this price point. I would even say it's better than some which cost more.

Sound is also very good. This is a very neutral sounding headset. Without a doubt. There is no emphasis on bass like some of the gaming headsets out there tend to do. That isn't to say there is no bass, far from it. But where this headset shines in is the mid-bass range. Instead of being overwhelmed with constant low end you're presented a neutral sound that re-creates the entire sound mix accurately. I find this very pleasing and not fatiguing like some of the bass heavy headsets I've tried in the past. From a pure gaming perspective it's very accurate and most people will be very happy. Being a neutral sound would also make this headset passable for music listening which is probably why so many people recommend Kingston headset for dual duties. It's such a smooth and accurate sound and with a detachable MIC it can pass as stereo headphones no problem.

MIC quality is good and clear but it is very sensitive. Very sensitive. If you have a strong "S" in your speech or have a lisp than I would look elsewhere. This MIC seems to highlight those aspects of a persons speech and I think if you're a person with these known characteristics in your speech pattern you may be a little disappointed. It seemed to highlight my "S" and I have no strong "S" in my speech whatsoever. It was also picking up my wife's voice when she was talking to me which is something I've never had issues with in the past from other headsets. This MIC is definitely tuned on the sensitive side. Now that can be looked at as both a positive or a negative. People will have no issues hearing you which is good so If you're a person who games alone than this won't be an issue for you, but if you're a gamer with other people and activities going on around you than I don't think this MIC will be ideal for your situation. Having said all that, there is a MIC mute feature on the in-line controller which can easily nullify this complaint, but I've had better noise cancelling MICs on other headsets in the past.

Overall I think this is a good headset. Build quality is solid and as good or better than anything else in this price range. Sound is so smooth and accurate that most people will be very happy with it. MIC quality is very clear, although it is a sensitive microphone so be warned about that. When on sale this is about as good as you're going to get in this price point.

Probably one of the best well rounded headsets you can get on the market for a xbox wireless headset and for the price it would probably even rival the $400 Astro A50s. Headset has literally everything you need on the headset without needing cords and a controller adaptor to adjust sound levels etc. thats a win in itself and its got USB dongle so you can plug it into your xbox and computer and enjoy it on both plateforms

the overall sound on this headset is good for it not being able to be tuned its tuned very well outta the box and in my opinion is perfectly fine.

For the people writing reviews about them saying it has terrible sound quality and noise cancelation and having echoing problems i haven't experienced any of that personally myself and i believe that they most likely of gotten a defective product and if they noticed it within the 30 days of delivery they can easily get a refund or get a replacement, amazon is by far the best when it comes to return policies

Update- 6 months of steady use of headset the volume dial wheel is having detection problems or whatever it may be causing the headset not to register the sound being turned up or turned down and only way to fix it is to unplug the USB Dongle from the xbox and plug it back in for it to work again i saw another review with this same issue so just be aware of that besides that overall its a great headset i just feel like since its a unlimited scroll wheel that it malfunctions sometimes and needs to be reset i dont know exactly but base could be improved my old xbox turtle beach xo ones had perfect sound quality but mic became defective and caused constant static my next pair of headphones after these would prob be hyperx cloud 2s or another try with turtle beach or even astro a50s if i wanna burn that kind of money with these headphones u can charge and play so never gotta worry bout battery dying on you!!

I don't know what the difference is between this and the Cloud II, but it's comfortable and sounds fine for the price. Just don't use it for the mic. The mic quality is terrible and will eventually just start cutting out after enough time.

The cable is also very short and it can do without the volume slider on the cable. The Cloud I was the perfect pair, I don't know why they insist on making a worse products, calling them "upgrades" then charging more for it.
